I was wondering if having the various tradeskill Mastery AAs affects the rate that you gain skill points. The only Mastery AA I have so far is Alchemy Mastery 1, and I have noticed an improved succes rate on combines that were not trival to me. My skill is currently at 283 and for the last 40 skill points I average about 1 skillup per 40 combines mostly making Distillate of Clarity IX/X and the like with a few of the level3 Tonics and other various lvl IX/X potions as I can aquire the nescesary drops. However most people I know that are at or near master skill in other tradeskills have purchased all 3 lvls of the pertinant Mastery AA and some take an enormous number of combines per skillup. One person I know has a research skill still around 170ish with Arcane Tounges 3 and has a good success rate but very low skillup rate. I have raised alchemy, pottery, baking and brewing past that particular range and never had that hard a time with skillups in that range.
Also on a different note, I have been experimenting on success rate based on the number of complete combines you have in inventory. I have only tested it for about 500-600 combines so far but I seem to get an increased success rate with a fewer number of complete combines in my inventory. I was wondering if maybe the RNG takes into account the number of combines you have in inventory when it calculates your chance for success.
Any input from the Masters is greatly appreciated
