  • WIS or INT items?

    Howdy all!

I need some advice on putting together either wisdom gear or intelligence gear for my troll warrior.

    (Are you through laughing yet?)

I've really gotten into all the tradeskills, with the exception of jewelcraft, and I'm at the point where they're all in the 160-190 range. So far I haven't put together a set of "tradeskill" gear to wear, but now that I'm at the point where skill-ups are a lot more rare (and expensive) I figure I should change that or high end tradeskills will be the death of me.

For smithing I have no problem getting my STR up to 255, but its the other skills that need help. In my everyday gear, my WIS is 66 and my INT is 67. I currently have an Axgoreth's Belt of Defense which pushes my WIS up to 81.

My question is, should I try buying +INT gear or +WIS gear? I have about 5K to spend right now, and will be building up more cash to purchase more items if they seem worthwhile.

    Thanks for your help!

      Nimphe,

I think he was asking which would be easier.

I would go with WIS. I have heard that Wisdom gear is SLIGHTLY easier to get then INT.

Acrylia Studded Tunic, Cloak, and Mask are all nice, if you can farm the acrylia, and know a good tailor. Heck, if ALL of your tradeskills are 160-190, you can make them yourself.

JC is also a good idea. Plat + Jasper = 105p for a 6 WIS ring.
Gold + Jasper for a 3 WIS Earring.

Othmir Fur Cap is excellent , 6 wisdom, and hella-cheap.

Unless you go with GEBS or Coldain Boots, then good WIS for your feet is hard to find.

Bah, Im tired. Others can take it from here.

I'd go +wis over +int on the grounds that a) you already have wis 14 points higher, and b) it seems to me there are better cheap +wis options for plate classes (either all/all or specifically) than +int. A tradeskiller warrior friend used to borrow hunks of my kit for heavy skill-up sessions.

A fairly cheap shopping list (prices on Lanys, roughly; YMMV):

Platinum jasper rings (+6): 150 each
Gold jasper ears (+3): 25 each
        Acrylia studded cloak (+10): 1000
        Acrylia studded tunic (+8): 1000
        Acrylia studded legs (+4): 750
        Acrylia studded mask (+5): ~50
        Adamantite epaulets (+7): 350
        Charred guardian shield (+9): 200
        Othmir fur cap (+6): 100
        Ulthork hide arms (+3): 25-50
Chipped bone bracer (+5): 300 each
        Sharkbone warhammer (+5): 250

That would get you to 171 for about 5k, and apart from the shoulders makes a fine druid twink kit as well.

Gatorscale Leggings seem to be cheaper to buy then Acrylia Studded Leggings...
