I have found this site to be the best at having the correct trivia’s on the recipes. There
seem to be more pep’s that have put in their 2cp’s worth in getting this right.

As for my it did take me about 60pp to get pottery up to master. But that was in part
because I was firing some of the stuff for my baking skill.

I started the tradeskills with the baking and brewing as they where the easiest to get the
supplies for. rats, bats, and snakes oh my. I also did some fishing as that let my make some
money and the free sort of food. I then sold what I could and started the other tradeskills.

I got in the tradeskill game to irate some of my RL friends, as they had all started playing
eq about a year before I did. I made master into the mid 150’s in all the skills that I do
before the level 20 ding. The only one I have not done is JC as that has that silly enchant
thing going on. and as a dwarf the spell just keeps fizzling.

When I started I thought it would be a good way for a lowly warrior to make his armor but now that I just hit 30...
Well really the only thing you'd make soon would be some banded armor. But at level 30, that would be something you would be growing out of about this time. Fine plate might be decent at this level, but with the availability of stat armor that can be bought fairly cheap at the bazaar, the only thing really worth working towards would be your cultural armor. (I love the mithril suit I'm wearing now)

BuilderOfCastles had some really good points that I'd like to expand upon.

I hunted in the Gorge of King Xorbb while all the mudlings where blue to me. Took all that clay and did pottery.
Also, since money is a concern, the evil eye camp there can produce around 100pp an hour between the plat and gems they drop, plus an occasional polished bone bracer.

I hunted in Shadeweavers thicket for all the black aliens. They drop shade silk for raw shade silk armor.
The black aliens also drop 'chunk of condensed shadow' that can be used to make arrowheads (trivial 116). Far cheaper than doing banded armor.

I hunted spiders in East Karana while they where blue to me for their spider silk.
The lions here drop quality pelts on almost every kill, usually 2, sometimes 4. Even if you aren't to a point to use them (for poison vials, leather padding, tailoring), you can sell them at the bazaar for a few plat each. The griffons drop a good assortment of plat or gems or words if you want to drop one of those as they fly by too.

As for 20pp being a fortune, some soloable camps for you...
      - The fungoids in NL drop plat, and sometimes some armor
      - The infamous aqua goblin camps in BB can get probably 100pp/hour
      - Evil eyes in Beholder's are good for 100pp/hour
      - Giants in Warsilks Wood aren't much good for plat, but their weapons sell for 30-40pp each (heck, you might even want to equip one of them). Giants in general seem to drop around 30pp, but I mention these in WW because they're not so heavily camped.

I'm always a fan of the 'use tradeskilling to finance tradeskilling' approach. Spider/spiderling silks always sell well, and leather padding still sells for 400pp+ a stack.

Have been very good to me.
Hate selling all that HQ ore since I know later I will need it but I get 7pp for the small bricks on brell.
I have stopped trying to work trades for awhile till I can raise my Int/Wis.
Just going for the cash so I can raise my stats and start again.
Think I will wait till the new expantion and will buy a trade skill suit then I will have a place to keep it.
        Thanks again.
