  • Drakkin and old cultural armor

    Hi,

Anyone know if the Drakkins will be able to wear old cultural armor that can currently be worn by humans (e.g. Serene Steelweave and Human variants) ?

When the Frogloks were introduced they were added to old Dwarf cultural, so there is reason to hope.

Demand from new Drakkins would help in maxing my new Trophy

    Thanks for any information.

Well, the easist way would be to simply add them to the HUMAN cultural.

However, depending on just how much time Ngreth had to work on it, I wouldn't be surprised to see a whole line of new cultural specifically for Drakkin that uses drops only found in the new expansion.

Frogs got added to all of the of the old non-diety-specific cultural armor (Erudite, Dwarf, Human, Dark Elf, High Elf, Human (both cities), and briefly Gnome). I actually helped a friend twink a frog warrior, and he ended up wearing armor from at least 5 different cultures (frogs are apparently very flexible, to be able to get a proper fit in helmets sized for Dwarves, Elves, and Erudites ).

They will not be getting new "old" armor.

They are definitely a "new" race and have not been around long enough to have "old" cultural armor...

I will be looking on attaching them to Human. (It may not make it by launch, I will see)

          Hello Ngreth,

Since humans can also wear Erudite Steelweave armor perhaps you could tag those as well (pretty please with sugar on top).

I know these days before expansion release are stressfull, so I would be delighted if they were tagged sometime after release.

          Thank you for responding.

Will they have DoN Cultural armour?

I sure hope so... it would be nice if interest could be renewed in the older expansions.

Yup. They will. I believe that is what brought the original question .

What are the odds that the Drakkin will have a much easier time gaining Master and Grandmaster drops than some current races have?

by reading between the lines in these posts you can make a guess as to which pieces they are using.

OK, so Drakkin with be given Human DoN cultural.

Shissar Scales are definitely easier to get than Great Reptile Teeth so Drakkin Tailoring will be easier to get to 300 than Half Elf Tailoring as well as some others.

Assuming they get a leather wearing class (I don't know if the classes for the Drakken have been released or not, I haven't seen anything that says so far), if not they're stuck with Storm Volaas Hair for silk and Gravel for smithing. (If they do get a druid/monk/beast lord then yeah the leather would work)

They are getting a leather class. Monk was the first class officially announced to be playable.

One of the released screenshots of the Drakkins shows a Drakkin Bard so plate's definitely in as well.

As to silk: I think one of the Caster's Realms' screenies shows Drakkin in silk armor but I'm not certain. Anyway since no expansion race ever had mage or chanter as a class choice I would think at least those should get the nod.

                              It's all up on EQlive

Go to features, then Drakkin abilities, then click on all the different gem looking things and it goes in to the general Drakkin abilities and what classes can play each type.
