  • HoC Chat Wednesday August 23

There is another HoC chat scheduled for Wednesday August 23rd. If you have tradeskill questions, please post them here and I will send them on (please try to be polite, and post questions that are concise and forwardable, so I can cut and paste the text.)

If you have questions on something other than tradeskills, feel free to PM them to me either here or on the SOE boards, and I'll ask what I can (same rules apply, be nice, concise, and make it so I can easily cut and paste them into the chat.)

The only confounding factor, is that Wednesday is my sister's birthday, so there is a chance that I may not be home in time for the chat. If that's the case, then I'll try and get someone else to submit the questions. Loral is always pretty wordy, perhaps he'll do it.

the one question that comes to mind:not sure where i ran into the rumor, but heard there may be a revamp to the tailoring system that may rival what the last expansion did with alchemy... Ngreth and another dev (sorry i can't recall who it was) were kind enough to give a heads up warning about having ts ingredients on hand... would like to know if we need to be concerned about tailoring items (still hurting from the last change to trivs in tailoring that made hash of reasonable skillup paths)

oops, nm, just saw a post from Ngreth in another part of the forum saying that the tailoring changes are still in the rumored stage....

Still any word on DoN cultural drop rate?

Also any chance of getting JC mastery AA for all classes? While I probably wont bother getting it, there may be a few picky tradeskiller who feels the need to have all maxed TS related AA's.

Any word on the tradeskills stat cap? Will it rise again? And is there any plan to remove the hard caps on success % in Grandmaster armor?

I thought Ngreth had already answered about the DoN drop rates, the Tradeskill cap, and on Tailoring in general, all on these forums within the last month or so?

I know he mentioned that he plans to go back and review the DoN drop rates, but has to get time in his schedule first.

I'll have to go back and check his comments on tailoring. I don't remember if what he said was public or not.

Tradeskill cap is going to 1000, didn't you hear. (note, that's a joke.)

(I have not read the thread yet, but will go back...)

"When" is not something that can be answered 99% of the time, so please do not ask those questions (nor any oblique way of asking when... it is the same answer, even if you do not use the word when. "I don't know")

"Are you aware?", "Do You plan?" those are much more answerable.

Do you plan is normally what I use.

Now shoo. No peeking at the questions before the chat tomorrow.

Do you plan (in your copious amounts of free time, lol) to create another heavily tradeskill based quest along the lines of the Coldain Shawl, the Solstice Earring or Grimel's Earring? I had a lot of fun doing those when they were current.

Ngreth has said the tailoring changes will not be in TSS at launch. That doesn't exclude the possibility that sometime after launch, he will be allocated time to work on it. =)

                      1. Are the Radiant recipes such as "Radiant Apatite of Aggression" ever going to be created by other than shaman and rogue only? Seems a bit unfair since they are essentially jewelry combines. Besides, jewelry recipes need some punch.

                      2. How about a Thurgadin Shawl 9 and 10? Breath some life back into this quest.

                      3. How about another grand tradeskill quest, but this time a task, with a nice balance between skill level and rare drops, with no large groups and raids required? I'm a little miffed that the signet quest requires so many zones to be flagged for, but luckily, I got my flags before my guild went poof.

This has been asked numerous times, and they said no. They feel the story line is played out with that particular quest. As for adding new ones like that, I keep asking and hoping, and Ngreth and Maddoc both said they want to, but it's just a matter of finding the time.

It would be nice to have some upgrade to the current shawl. It is effective to spell up to level 60 and with upcoming TSS, we're looking at level 75. Maybe a completely new quest with 2 different rewards: one with "ok" stats and works up to level 75 spells for those who started it without doing the shawl first, and second reward with really good stats for those that already have shawl 8?

I believe it was mentioned that there were no plans of improving the GM armor in this expansion. But, are there any plans to have the stones (Bazu, Last Blood, etc.) used in the type 12 augs drop in TSS?
