  • AA's vs Success Caps

Was talking with someone that stated DoN Grandmaster gear was capped at a 70% success rate.

    a) Is this correct??

    b) Does this mean getting any tradeskill mastery AA's would be useless to better my chances for doing DoN GM gear?

Thanks for any info that can be provided.

These are a guesstimate of the Success Caps on Grandmaster's DoN Armor...

    Wrists 90%
    Boots, Gloves and Helm 80%
    Sleeves 70%
    Chest and Legs 60%

To answer your second question, what's your skill at and what's your mod? If you're at 300+5%, I think your chances are maxed. You can go to http://www.eqtraders.com/calculators...r=130080000000 (Thanks Kyros!) and enter your stats to see your success chance.

If you have 250 skill, a 5% skill mod, and Mastery 3, you will be at the cap.

If your skill is already over 250, the Mastery AAs will be of less and less value.

Does this success cap only apply to gm armor? Or are there other high trivials that are capped. For example the TV351 gearboxes for AAAA's?

My success rate on AAAA would lead me to believe it is not capped.
300 skill +15% mod = pretty good success rate.

          300 - Tinker +15%
          300 - Researcher +12%

When I was at the last Fan Faire, Maddoc told me the success caps were only applied to the GM armors and the Omens augments. Since then, they've been added to a few more items, but they remain very rare.
