  • highest vendor bought skills

I'm curious if there i a guide to vendor bought skill ups? For example I got my blacksmithing to 115 entirely through vendor bought items (no baz or farming). I'm curious about taking this skill and all skills to their max using vendor bought only components. Has anyone built such a list of items/trivials for each tradeskill?

      Baking - 191 (Patty Melt)
      Fletching (w/ Cultural) - 300 (arrows)
Fletching (w/o Cultural) - 282 (Rough Shadewood Compound Bow - there are cheaper non-vendor bought steps along the way but thats the highest you can go just off the vendor
Pottery - 199 (Casserole Dish), 300 if you are or have access to an enchanter (Enchant Clay)
Spell Research - 54 (Vial of Pure Water)
      Tailoring - 76 (Picnic Basket)
      Tinkering - 176 (Rebreather)

      Mentioned above:
Brewing - Could go to 300 (Brut Champagne) if you have access to an enchanter with Enchant Gold
Smithing - MCS does require you to have access to a character with Imbue Emerald, otherwise the best I could find was 132 for Dwarves (Bile Spine) and 162 for all others (Cultural Sewing kit)

Keep in mind that for Fletching, Tinkering, and Smithing (at least until your skill is ~240) these aren't the most cost effective ways to skill up.

JC to 300 on Gem Studded Chains.

Just requires the smithing subcombines and the enchanter for the silver but it is all vendor items.

For pottery Star Ruby Steins will get you to 300. All vendored but again needs a Chanter to enchant the clay.

when you say no bazaar or farming items does that include or does it not include finding a person(s) to cast a spell for you?

MTPs require Brownie Parts & foraged stuff, so they are out for Baking.

Tinkering 202 Nantik's Anti-gravity Unit. Roughly 360pp per combine, but succes sells back for ~330, so not too bad.

For the pure store bought path to 300 smithing there is the Inferno Scepter. 300 skill and no enchanting/imbuing required, though at over 2k per combine not very practical

Bleh, might as well consider it 300 since all vendors are overflowing with golden ember powder and phosphurous powder.

Poisoncraft was by far the easiest tradeskill to max of all my characters. Even has maxxed trophy, all in one day from nothing but vendor bought stuff.

MPTs require foraged items and brownie parts. Not difficult to obtain, but not vendor bought either.

Yes MTP requires brownie parts and fruit. One which could be bought from bazaar for maybe 2p per stack and brownie part is easy to farm if you or have a friend that is strong enough to handle them and dosn't mind blown brownie faction. Vegetable is vendor bought now (carrot + lettuce + turnip in mixing bowl)

Someone needs to create a guide to the cheapest skill ups using ONLY vendor bought items. When I say vendor bought items i mean only items that vendors always have unlimited stock. Granted 'cheapest' is a relative term. The stuff you guys listed is great but don't you usually wanna combine stuff closer to your current trivial to improve combinesskillup chances?

Umm, this guide? It isn't completely what you want, but it is pretty darn close and provides a good balence vendored where fastest and farming where appropriate for the more expensive stuff....

                          Take care!
I call for the elimination of EQ levels 1-50.

Why does one of us have to create it? Can you not do the research? Personally, the straight vendor bought path is never, for me, been the cheapest way to go. I do not have an endless supply of pp. I farm and buy from the bazaar for things that I do not have the time/inclination to farm more.

As for brownie parts, there are Mountain Brownies in Steamfont that are level 10ish.
