  • just comming backand need a hand.

i have just come bact to EQ yakeisha was the last expantion i bought. i now have them all and had some questions as i am trying to level my fletching. the new way the kits work is nice but i have run out of resipies in the kit it self (the maxed at trivial 182) how can i get more resipies so i can grind with out having to imput each item in to the kit manualy? thanks for any help

succesfully make one of the object you want the recipe for.. by doing the combine by hand --warning: dont be stupid about this and try to make sometin well over 100 points ahead of you and expect to get it quickly.. it took me around 150 combines of Misty Thicket Picnic for example to make one succesfully at 191 hehe--
GL with your fletching.. i personally holding off on tradeskills until i get PoR in about a week..

If you look under the recipe section here n EQTrader, select the trade skill, then select the quick trivial list (it takes a bit to load). That will show you what you need for the recipe. As stated by Ddemons, once you have successfully created an item using a recipe you "learn" it, and it is added to your recipe list.

I typically keep my active "skill-up" recipe on my favorite list, as well as the ones I use regularly (typically subcombines for other trade skills).

        Ouch! That's about a .05% (1 in 2000) chance.

I thought there was a 5% minimum chance of success? I remember making solstice robes way back in '02 with a tailoring skill in the 160s, and seeing at least 1 in 20 or so successes.

*shrugs* .. it took me about 90 combines of that unfired small bowl or whatever (102 triv pottery) at 0 skill to actually make one
my luck has always sucked on this.. that is UNLESS its the final product that is unsellable to merchants and isnt worth crap (Bile Spines example..) then i have like a 100% success rate that annoys me cause then i gotta go thru and destroy it all
off note- 3 or 4 days till i get PoR and can start tradeskilling WOOT .. personal guarantee that within a few weeks of getting PoR im gonna have 200 smithing/pottery/ maybe tailoring if i ever get out there and farm.. and 300 baking

oh and on the MTP thing with 150ish combines.. i actually did that in one sitting .. if i didnt delete him.. i have like a 130ish skill smith on test server from back in the day pre-UI.. so im kinda used to that... but nonetheless- about an hour after doing that it felt like someone was nuking my arm lol

If you are just coming back and you are getting back into tradeskills, I highly recommend the PoR trophy quests. You'll have fun running around crafting items for them and the rewards are cool too.
