  • New "Block of Velium" or a bug?

Logged on after the patch and found some blocks of velium on a merchant.
Thought it weird that there was 2 different types listed but with same stats.
I bought them both and they definately do not stack.
Did not want to post an update as I am not sure if this is just something buggy or for real.
Anyone else noticed when this change took place?

The only thing I know for sure is that the blocks only stack to 5.

There is a Small Chunk of Velium item and a Ball of Velium that looks like a sphere or ball, and not the brick or ingot. Those items do not stack and are not used in tradeskilling.

Do not confuse them with the Pieces, Small Bricks, Large Bricks and Blocks of Velium that are used in tradeskilling, and all stack to some degree.

I've also noticed some scenarios where a vendor will appear to have 2 lines with the same item. For instance, the cultural vendor in North Kaladim sells 2 separate lines of Huge Block of Clay. They seem to both be identical...and seem to both work in the combine for the patterns. /shrug

I didn't bother checking to see if they stacked with each other.

Did you have more than 5? "block of velium" stacks to 5, large bricks stack to 10, small bricks and small pieces of velium stack to 20

Merchant can have them stack to whatever he wants though

Ok my bad.. but I know when I saw it ( was on one of the baking merchant in PoK).. the first buyline was 5 blocks of Velium, second buyline was 1 block of velium.

Lillanu said..Merchant can have them stack to whatever he wants though
I thought the same thing, it's why I thought it was weird to begin with.

Just logged back on then and resold what I bought. 5 in the first sale and 1 in the second and presto, the merchant had 6 in one buyline..
            /boggle.

I'm sure they do these things to make us just a little crazier than what we are already

Did you see them both on screen at the same time?

Cause its possible that a sequence of events went like this

              1) Person Y is using the merchant and sells a stack of 5 blocks of velium to merchant.

              2) You see blocks of velium x5 and buy them.

              3) Person Y sells his leftover block of velium

              4) You see block of velium and buy it.

North Kal is very strange with that.. I don't know if there are other zones that are the same way, but Bloran Norkhitter sells 2 versions of "Block of Brellium", "Large Brick of Brellium" and "Small Brick of Brellium". They all stack (with each other.. buy one thing of each and it goes in to the same stack). I always figured it was a minor coding error. It all works with the tradeskill recipies so its not a huge deal, but it is kinda strange.

Yup both were on the screen at the same time in separate buy lines
Wasn't that long after a patch and no one else around me (aka no one else selling/buy from this merchant)
