smithing there is a 15% hammer of XTC in ssra. for taloring there is a 15% dagger that drops of shei venterlis in Acrlica ruins (north end ZL from madens eye) there is also a 15% tinker robe that drops off shei i belive. there is a 10% mod belt for large races that i have no clue where it drops, I think XTC drps it but not even remotly sure.there is a 5% baking irem from the chef chowderly quest in abysmal sea ( hey maddoc, SOY SAUCE!!! ) i do not know of no other item that has a 5% or greater skill mod that is useable by all, all. the tinkering robe is the outlawing item for this all/all because well tinkering is a gnome only so ya.

Yeah, the Belt drops off one of the Preasortum leaders in Sanctus Seru, I can't remember his name, but I am pretty sure he's in the first tower on the right, when you go to the area with the 5 towers.

Also there is a set of 15% gloves that drop from the first blob in Vex Thall.. Dunno what its full name is, we just always called it Blob 1.

The tink robe does drop off Shei too, both drops are pretty rare, but she's supposed to be an easy farm if you have a 15k tank with ~30% spell shield, since her DT is actually a 20k DD.

Also sounds like you do not know about the new trophies which go up to 15%... (which are not yet in the FAQ)

no I know about the trophies reason I asked was cuz I want to get a more than 5% mode before I evolve my tailoring trophy to 15% so that I can make strands of ether to get my skill up sooner since it sa cheaper and easier recipe than any other at around 200 skill in tailoiring I have all 7 of the base trophies and they are all evolved to at least 5% and know they evolve further but I hate tailoring and its the only one I am struggling with raising so if I could get a 15% mod I could go from like 196-212 on ethereal swatches lol
            Thank You

Unless you're real real lucky with an early drop, you'll probably find it faster to just skillup those points normally than farming the shears off of Shei.

Heh.. to evolve your Tailoring trophy to 15%.. you need to get to 300 tailoring (un-modded) then do 500-1000 combines with a 300+ triv.

He is refering to the 15% Tailoring mod shears that drop from Shei Vinetras in Akheva Ruins. If he could get them, then he would be able to do the threads.

There were items in the game with more than 5% mods before the PoR trophies.

why at the 188 ish would you not go and farm the entrals from DODH and combine them thusly for 200 pp per combine? there is also a "handy" farm thats said somewere in these threads.

DoN expert tailored augs can get you to 222, they require an easy task and 1 lambent stone, 1 drachnid silk swatch, and a water of your diety.

I try to find the absolute cheapest recipe for skill up which is why I am not going out and spending 200pp per combine that is insane, I am not lvl 70 nor do I have an endless supply of pp I have had 5kpp to my name at most at any given time. So the strands of ether recipe was cheapest I could find, yes I do plan on doing the augs. and also whips since they are cheap to make and don't require a TON of farming like studded acrylia/reinforced acrylia does.
I was just wondering if I could get this skill up quicker since it is the one skill that is a thorn in my side.

200 plat per combine isn't actually that bad :/ Fletching for non-woodie/karanas can be 500 plat-1000 plat per combine depending on server.

It's not really that insane when you consider the final sell back (assuming success) is ~250pp. Quite a bit cheaper than solstice robes.

It's actually more expensive when you find 300 gem studded chains on a vendor!
The only icky thing is the subcombines in bulk... making enough silk for 240 combines at once requires being a banker in an alt guild (if you're inventory has 7 bags full, and your bank has 23 bags full)! What's good is that I'm working on JC too, and going to make some Gem Studded Chains once I use up all the diamonds I have (wee! more solstice robes)!
