What would a Master Artisan do in RL if he had all these amazing talents? I think that he/she would attempt to create an "epic" creation that used all of his skills and pushed the limits so he could create that masterpiece that few could even attempt to duplicate.
i'm bored at work, and just skimmed over the thread, and maybe someone suggested, but the thing that popped to mind...something that uses all skills: a house. maybe not a big one, or one that you can "zone" into like eq2. but it's a living testament to your work. "home sweet home of <enter name here" "this guild hall built by <me>" or something.

it's silly and would probably never ever happen. but it makes me smile to think about it.
While I did not reply in the thread this was posted as I wanted to remain as on topic for the thread, this gave me an idea. What if tradeskillers could put their skills to use to create some kind of addition to the guild hall for thier guild. I do not know how this could be implamented, I guess it would be similar to if there was a specific raid task the guild could complete, but wouldn't it be nice to give your guild something back as a sign of your tradeskills? I know many tradeskillers in guilds do at some point receive help from them, help farming, advice on recipes/skillup paths, etc.

Nice idea but I think this would cause huge coding problems. The guildhalls are instanced zones so when you zone in it is never "your guildhall" but the first one available.

As it stands today (on AB) we do not have enough instanced guildhalls as it is. People stay afk for hours in the guildhall meaning this then blocks it for use for others. Sometimes it takes well over 5-10 minutes to be able to access a guildhall.

I think implementing this would mean that your guildhall needs to be 'you' specific. And what if you move guild? Will the extra's stay? Or will they go with you?

I agree that it be nice to have a way of thanking a guild for helping you with skills, but can't this be done in actually supplying items you make? I supply my guild with stat food (baking) and cut their augs for them at no cost.

At the moment we all received these very nice tradeskill trophies, and a tradeskiller I would much more prefer if Ngreth and team would work on things that benefit tradeskillers and not so much others by our hard work (eww thats sounds really selfish, sorry) as I can do that myself by doing combines for free.

If there was an additional thing I would like then that would be a toolbelt. I have bags and bags full of items I need for tradeskilling ( I do baking, brewing, poison, jewelcraft, smithing, fletching). It would be great to be able to do a quest that will give you a no drop toolbelt, which works as a keyring and adds tools for a specific skill to it. Think how nice it be to go off baking, pick your toolbelt out of the bank and know all items you may need (tool wise) are there. One slot instead of bags occupied for one tradeskill.

Other things I personally find more important would be to add more fun foods (candy, lollies, popcorn) or racial foods, or foods with an effect ( if you eat X the emote will say something funny, or there is an animation with it), or food for special occasions ( we have wedding cakes, why not halloween candy or Christmas puddings?)

Hmm did I go a bit off topic? *G*

I would love to be able to buy all the basic vendor tradeskill components in the guildhall.

What if a master tradeskiller was awarded an item that, when given to the GH vender (getting the item back too) it spawns more npc venders with additional shopping lists. I don't think that the guildhalls would then need to be specific to a certain guild or person since the npcs are spawned by turning in the item which presumably would be the result of an epic-sized effort. Coule even make the spawned npc venders specific to mastered tradeskills, a different turn in item required for each type of tradeskill. The npcs would despawn when the instance drops normally and/or a timed despawn after an hour or so.

This would be freaking awesome...kinda like one of those Gerber multi-tools or something. I have at least 3 bags dedicated to tools I use often and would love to have a keyring-type item that could be used for each individual tool I've used so far. Though, that sounds like a hellish coding issue.

There is already a thread on that topic located here. Please try and keep this thread on topic as there are several threads with a similar nature and there is no point in having the same discussion in 3 different places.
