It happened to me in skilling up Pottery, but I guess it could happen anywhere.
I was at 199 pottery for the longest time because I didn't feel it was worth it to set up for making a bunch of Unfired Opal Encrusted Steins just to hit 200 since I'm not ready to put in the AAs to bring it up higher yet.
I did the Freshman Trophy quest, and got the 8 slot bag. I finally decided I would upgrade to the Journeyman Trophy which brings a much improved 10 slot bat.
My trophy was 96% evolved. I figured with only a 23 point difference between trivial and current skill, it would take a number of combines to evolve the trophy to Journeyman, regardless of when, or even if, I might get the skill up to 200.
So, I gathered enough components to do a run of 40 combines. From the evolution I saw doing Brewing
, I was figuring it would take just over 20 combines just to evolve the trophy. I would save whatever components were left for when I was ready to skill up beyond 200.
Well, on one combine; skillup to 200 AND trophy evolved from Freshman to Journeyman.
Let it be said that I was absolutely amazed.
