  • Coolest/Relaxing Place to Tradeskill??

OK....I am looking for a place in the game to relax while I do my tradeskills. (The Tradeskills with portable containers that is). I will stay bound at this Cool place and port to POK for supplies.
So in your opinions, what location (safe for a level 60) is the Prettiest, Most Relaxing, Coolest location in the entire game? (ie-Sister Island at the beach?)

I kind of like the 2nd floor of Shadowhaven myself, and you don't have to bind.

I officiated a wedding up there a few years ago (didn't even know it existed until then). It's a courtyard with lush trees and flowers, with 4? small rooms off to either side.

There's merchants in there that sell spells but it's one place I go when I still want to be close but feel like I'm on vacation.

I thought I knew Shadowhaven pretty well, but I'm not sure about the spot you mean. Which quarter of the town is it in? I'll have to go explore and find it.

She means the 'hidden' area behind the alchemy supplies vendors indicated with nr 23 on eqatlas map.
walk into the room and opposite the entrance is a stone on the floor which is a teleport pad. This will take you to the 'hidden area' careful though as the 4 siderooms contain druid, ranger, shaman and beast spell vendors (and guild masters?) if you Kos to those getting into the room will get you killed.
Zoning out is by clicking the tree in the centre of the 'hidden area'

My favorite zone is elemental island in twilight sea, the colors are stunning and it has one of the most beatiful dawns and sunsets.

You beat me to posting about my favorite place. I like to imagine myself relaxing on the beach sipping a margarita.

There is a hidden temple in Nedaria's landing near the bears that has some beautiful graphics:-)

                  "Relaxing" is Subjective

There's so much subjectivity in that term that it really depends on what you find relaxing. I base my suggestions about what's pleasant based as much on audio cues as visual cues, so my choices are a bit different than most, but here goes.

The docks of Nedaria's Landing: no need to bind there, since it's not a long walk from anywhere. Even if you like to roleplay not being out in the rain, you can stay in the buildings or under the crane. It's very peaceful, nothing and nobody will disturb you, and it's quite picturesque.

In front of the town hall in Ak'Anon. Hang out near the bard who offers to pay for mail delivery. It's close to lots of tradeskill stuff, the bank is a short walk, if you position yourself correctly nobody will find you, it looks cool if you're into things mechanical, and the music is calming.

The Wayfarer's camp in Natimbi. Again, the music makes this place, and it's a really nice zone, too. If you cross the water and go way up on the hill, you can look out over the ocean to the south.

The Combine fortress in the Dreadlands. Although there some issue with zone spam, if that sort of thing doesn't bother you, you can get yourself up on the spires and see as far as your clip plane will go.

The dragon room in Skyshrine. Assuming you're not KOS to Claws of Veeshan, you can sit here for days and never see another real person. There are days where nobody zones in here.

The lake in Rivervale. The music annoys the life out of some people, but it's home to me, and so it has a familiarity that I love.

The ramp or the ramparts in Katta Castellum. These vistas are breathtaking, and it's not far to get to tradeskill stuff and the bank. It's even faster if you can levitate yourself and fall safely. The city is usually quiet and it's easy to get there.

The true bridge in the Deep. If you can get to it safely, I've never seen anything path across the bridge, and sitting there, you can look straight down into the Abyss. The false bridge is really pretty if you take the time to look around, and I can guarantee nobody will bother you there. If you're comfortable underground it's quite an experience, and if you're lucky the screams of the dying will sometimes drift by as you do your work.

There's a few to get you thinking. Virtually every zone has some place that's really neat, so of course personal preference figures in.

Actually, that area is rather boring...not sure that's teh one she meant.

There is another 'hidden' area in Shadowhaven, where the INT casters have guildmasters, as well as monks I believe. Going past the garden area towards the Human bank and teh cleric guild, on the left wall between some buildings is an opening. Go through it and cross teh bridge, and you will enter a lovely courtyard. There are stairs to lead you up to the second floor where you will find spell vendors for the INT casters in some of the rooms.

For brewing I like going to Highpass Hold at the Tiger's Roar. It's next to nice refreshing waterfall and usually it's empty so it's quiet.

Since you can port, there's a much better than normal chance that you may be non-kos in Plane of Growth.

I would bet that there are some 'safe' spots in the gardens of Thundercrest and Stillmoon, but I don't know if you can bind there. Wouldn't be able to move around much, but I don't know that anyone really uses the non-instanced zones, so not much worry about being trained.

I have to agree with Aldier, the Hidden Oasis in Timorous Deep.

When i finally retire from this game, Pootle is going to travel there, put her weapons in a bag, and sit down with a JumJum beer, and slowly drift off into a twighlight sleep!

Personally speaking, I look for the most convenient place to do the tradeskilling, rather than the nicest/most relaxing.

If your faction is still intact, I find Sanctus Seru really quite pretty in an austere kind of way. If waterfalls are your thing, I don't think any beat the one in Great Divide, outside Thurgadin. I happen to love the music in the bar at #10 on the EQ Atlas map in Halas, but that might just be nostalgia. If you like bouncier music but don't want Rivervale, the music in The Velium Keg in Thurgadin is fun stuff. It feels like a pleasantly bustling tavern, too.
