It works for any item you leave in the forge. All too often, I'm doing a manual combine and I realize I left something in the bank, so I just hit the done button on the forge / loom / whatever and everything pops right back into my inventory.

I remember this change was made around the time that there were a few tradeskill exploits going around -- vendor-sold combines that sold back for considerably more than their cost. People took to leaving random items in forges to "break" the macrobot scripts. Shortly after those exploits were fixed, the "return stuff" code went it. It was two changes, if I remember right. First, if you put a no-drop item in the container, the Done button would grey out. Second, if you backed away from the container (forcing it to close), all the items would be returned to your inventory.

      look a this

      >This makes no sense to me.

What really makes No Sense is there only being 2 brew barrels in PoK, and Brewing being required for Tannaan Smithing and Tanaan Tailoring as well as Tanaan Brewing.

So there is a line at the brew barrel lol.

Personally, I've never had to wait for any of the tradeskill devices in the PoK. One time the barrel that was outside was taken, so I just went in by the task master and used that instead.

I don't really see the benefit of having multiple people use the same container at the same time. If there's a real need, then they should just add another one someplace.

If the return-stuff-to-inventory code does get touched, please consider this a request for enhancement:

Sort all items to be returned by size, bags first, then giant down to tiny in descending order before attempting to drop the items back into inventory.

This would go 95% of the way towards avoiding drop-on-ground situations on trades/container returns. You could still engineer it, but only by moving stuff around in your inventory after loading the trade window or container.

i learned long ago to put my giant bags at the bottom of my inventory and my smaller ones at the top, so the items filter themselves properly. only takes a few times of dropping stuff on the ground, when i've got A WHOLE BAG empty, for me to learn!

if they are gonna go that far, i'd rather just have everything pop onto my cursor, so that i "have my hands full" and have to manually drop things in my bags. in other words, if i back away from the forge and see a hammer on my cursor, i now know i'm out of room somehow and i better take a look.

If it was me, I'd leave it as is. All we need is for there to be another smithing exploit (or pottery, brewing, etc.) and to zone into South Qeynos to see someones army of 100 MQ bots all hammering away at the same forge. The flow of ill generated platinum into the game would end up flowing into the economy at a 5 or 10 or even 100 times greater amount.
