I tracked down the new aug pool - its at the newbie wayfarer's camp, near the Nagafen entrance.

And no, there is not a solvent merchant near it. I was hoping they'd toss solvents on the Dwarf guy there, but alas, no.

      Fletching trophy changes

Thank you, thank you, thank you, Ngreth (and anyone else involved) for changing the fletching trophy tasks with this patch! As a ranger, fletching was my first tradeskill, and I was frustrated that I could get all six of my other trophies but not the fletching one due to being too low level to hunt DoN and unwilling/unable to pay a minimum of 5k each for drake wing bones in the bazaar. Thank you so much for removing that requirement so people like me could get their fletching trophies. I can't say how happy I am to finally have my full set. Now to start skilling them (and me!) up...

The time savings is defiantly noticeable when farming a fixed number of pairs. Instead of spending a litle over an hour to collect 90 pairs with the old system, you now only spend one hour even, saving 12 minutes total give or take. For anyone working on brewing trophy, this saves over 2 hours worth of farming to get about 1,000 pairs.

I'd kiss Ngreth for getting this through but I have a thing about kissing an agre. /lol
People had said it was 10/7..

It was actually 10/8 but one of the 8... was 300 ticks into a wall... interesting growing tactic!

So I changed the 9 to a 6 in that one, and changed one of the 10 to fungus... and viola!

          /sigh

While it is clearly better than nothing, without a way to remove augments, a bird bath quickly loses usefulness once you fill your slots. Besides convenience, it makes good RP sense for an enterprising merchant to set up shop near where his customers want to make purchases. Can you imagine a public charcoal grill and then no one showing up to sell hot dogs?

...in the wall???? How did the dwarves raise a mushroom inside the wall? (in other word, what was the dev smoking when the planted one out of reach)

It doesn't bother me that much. If I am going to move augs I need access to a bank anyhow since I don't carry around enough cash to buy the distillers required for my augments.
The distiller merchant that gets my business is the one in the guild hall.. because she is the one enterprising enough to set up near an ATM.

Edited down your quote but this got me to thinking about what’s next - an EQ in-game Credit Card/ATM that allows you to purchase merchant items for a fee or daily interest rate (EQ time of course!!!)? We got instant porting via the PoK books and magus so less running, shared bank so can swap items and cash on same account, vendor sorting, bazaar for selling and buying easier offline - so is this the next phase of making things easier to purchase?

I can just see it now “Well, I’d like to purchase that uber sword 5000 model I just found on Merchant X but I’ve already got my EQ card maxed. But hey – I did get a free set of Beer Goggles when I opened that last account!” More RL into EQ huh? hehe.

I wonder what kind of frequent purchase programs there would be???

It looked like a typo... that was for whatever reason never caught (it was old enough to be before Our current QA procedures, which though not perfect, are a far sight better than they used to be.)

I do vaguely recall LONG LONG AGO someone telling me that there was a groundspawn in the wall there based on data from a third party program he was not supposed to be using.

Excuse me now while I dust out the cobwebs from that corner of my brain.
