Something askew with Crushed Diamond Dust droprates in velks

I kid you not, I have cleared Velks spiders 100% from top to bottom no less then 30 times in the past 10 days. I have been using teh zone to PL new players to Test Server and hoping for Crushed Diamond Dust drops to make them armors.

I have gotten exactly ZERO Crushed Diamond Dust in what I would consider over 4000 kills. This is not an exageration. i have literally killed in excess of 4000 spiders in velks and gotten not one single dust. Something is clearly wrong here.

It is a random drop along with every other crushed gemstone from that expansion, so you are the mercy of the RNG.

That being said, I've looted two CDD's in PoR zones since that expansion opened, so it seems to be a more common than normal drop rate in those zones.

Wow. 30 clears, and 4000 kills. That would be about 133 kills per spawn cycle.

hmm went there for scavenger hunt couple of days back and 2 dropped so looks as if you just unlucky

Did you get NO crushed gems or just no CDD? If you got any crushed gems then there is probably nothing wrong BUT if you got no gems what-so-ever then maybe there is a problem on TEST with the zone.

I got two CDD from Velks during double-experience weekend on Xegony... off the first floor/ramp spiders, so I doubt it's completely broken serverwide.

got one on i think it was sunday 2nd april, from a gnoll at the tents.

Been farming Siren's Grotto for deepwater inks to skill-up my alchemy trophy. Killing all the bulthars/seals and a lot of the fish/seahorses. Was getting a dust every 1-2 hours.
