  • pre-evolved trophies

so, i happened to finish my tailoring trophy on the 13th, right before the patch. my skill is 275 and i got it as a 0% evolved experts trophy. i read now that it would evolve to about 50% done. have i just missed out? is there any way to get this pre-evolution to happen?

are my alternatives 200-ish non-trivial combines or re-doing the quest?

    thanks,
    -greeb

At present, yes you missed out. Its why I posted I think you should be able to turn in any trophy for a beginner tropy + certificate. That way you can recreate it to bring it up to your skill.

bleh. so, ngreth, any chance of a workaround for those of us who got our trophies before the 3/15 patch and would have gotten more pre-evolving had we waiting until afterwards? maybe the quest giver could check our trophy if we hand it to her and evolve it if it's lower than our skill level? or give us a new certificate that will evolve the trohpy to the appropriate %age if it's less than our skill level? please?

Ngreth stated there's no way to check the existing trophies made before the patch so the only work around is to deatroy it and redo the quest. If your skill is in the high 200's and almost to 300 I would consider doing it. Otherwise the trophy will simply skill up much faster when your base skill has reached the next level. I wouldn't worry too much about a few missing %'s

Will destroying my trophy allow me to get the quest again? I'm skeptical because destroying the trophy would have to erase the notation in my -Quest History- (tab 3 when you hit Alt Q). Has anyone tried this?

There are actually plenty of tasks that are flagged as quests that you can do over. The quest history tab just helps you remember what you have done. It makes flags more visible to the player than the old PoP way where you had to talk to the seer.

Yes, you can destroy your trophy and get the task again (although the already finished task will not be erased from Quest History window). I destroyed my expert tailoring trophy that I got pre-patch, got the task again and finished the (partially evolved) trophy again with no problem at all.

Before destroying your trophy check the master tropghy for list of required items to complete the quest. It may be hard or easy depending on how well you farm stuff.
