  • Journeyman Charms still bugged?

I was just looking up info on charms and saw that there's still a note that journeyman charms are bugged. Has this been fixed yet, but the web page not updated?

Also, the charm pattern recipe is the same as the symbol pattern? What am I missing here?

    charm pattern: http://www.eqtraders.com/items/show_item.php?item=21444
    symbol pattern: http://www.eqtraders.com/items/show_...r=035000000000

Do you get the charm pattern along with all the symbol patterns? I looked at the expert charm pattern recipe and it's the same as the expert symbol pattern recipe. I don't remember getting charm pattern in there with the symbols, but maybe I just missed it.

    Confused,

It depends on when you made your symbol patterns. At first, they were not making charm patterns as well but now they are. I made symbol patterns a couple weeks ago and got charm patterns too.

Ok thanks, I'll try it again.

On that note, do all of the symbol patterns stack more than 20? I know the wrists go to at least 40. If I make more symbol pattern in order to get the charm patterns, can I at least stack 'em all?

      Thanks,

PS: Any note on whether the journeyman charms are still bugged?

To quote Ngreth from Oct 12, 2005: http://eqforums.station.sony.com/eq/...essage.id=8499

"I do not have an ETA of when the fix will go live."

I seem to remember something in a patch about this, but I couldn't find it in the updated messageboard on EQ Live Forums.

        Thanks,

EDIT: After more searching I came across this link:
        http://everquest.allakhazam.com/hist...es-2005-2.html

For Oct 27, 2005, which states "Players will now be able to make journeyman's charm patterns instead of cloth caps!"

Can we get the instruction page on DoN cultural charms changed to reflect this fix? Hopefully I'll be able to try it this weekend to verify it.

I just restarted the game after more than a year, and decided to have my smith make some journeyman's armor for my shaman. I made the charm as well, so the Iksar, at least, get charm patterns.

Yeah, you will not "magically" gain the patterns if you already combined the book. You will need to combine the book again to get the patterns. It has been fixed.

As to the other question, DoN symbol patterns do stack over 20, and I've had a couple stacks (most notably wrists) of patterns over 100.

While I have no identifable source, I seem to remember some discussion about DoN patterns (armor, symbols, and charms) stacking over 20. As to wether this was people requesting it, or a confirmation, I do not remember any longer.

Patterns and molds stack to 200, and the wrists to 400. So you could use up all 10 charges of the pattern book and the results will all stack.
