  • Trophy level XP guide

Here's a list of compiled data people have posted here in relation to the specific skills. Please note that this is preliminary data and not 100% exact. There seems to be a small fluxuation (like a combine or two) for each. Currently there is not enough info for Tinkering to make a guess, and Alchemy XP is bugge until the 3/14 patch. This is only for Master level trophies so far FYI.

EDIT- I'll try to pretty this up later tonight.

Anyway, here's how to read this:
    Skill- This is obvious
Total XP- In order to figure out total XP for a skill, I multiplied the most common 300+ combine per skill (generally 335 or 322) with how many successful combines people stated it took to level it.
Common 300+ combine- This is the numbers based on the most common 300+ combine. Please note these probably have a margin of error of about +/- 2%.
Max skill combine- This is the max exp number that an item can give divided by the total XP number. The result is how many combines it'd take for a 350+ trivial. (If an item is 351+ trivial it still can only give 350 exp.)

    Code:
[B]Skill Total XP Common 300+ combine Max skill combine[/B]
    ===========================================================
    Alchemy (Currently Bugged)
    Baking 350,000 (1045 335 combines) (1000 350 combines)
    Brewing 350,000 (1045 335 combines) (1000 350 combines)
    Fletching 157,500 (471 335 combines) (450 350 combines)
    Jewelcraft 332,500 (992 335 combines) (950 350 combines)
    Pottery 350,000 (1045 335 combines) (1000 350 combines)
    Research 157,500 (489 322 combines) (450 350 combines)
    Smithing 350,000 (1045 335 combines) (1000 350 combines)
    Tailoring 157,500 (471 335 combines) (450 350 combines)
    Poison 262,500 (816 322 combines) (750 350 combines)
    Tinkering ? ? ?

It looks like poison and alchemy are the same or very close. Using my own data I got:

        Alchemy 262,044 (753 348 combines) (749 350 combines)

Regarding jewelcraft, my numbers and the chart above do not match. From my logs:

Master Jeweler Trophy 10% to 20%
          52 successful combines
          302 trivial
          15,704 points

Therefore 100% evolution should be about 157,040 points. The chart above says 332,500 points. As I get more BDs I will report new numbers.

Jewelrycraft if I recall received a change since that data was compiled. Where high trivials required drops beyond I think 200 or so. This could have included a change in the amount of experience needed to evolve the trophy to reflect the new "rarity" in combines.

I do not have all the numbers in front of me.

The chart shows 157,500 (at least it looks that way to me on the chart above) and I recall research and tailoring being the same (which it also looks that way to me on the chart above).

I continued with more Jewelrycraft today (trophy 20%-43%) and the trend continues. In my book its confirmed to match some of the others.

                Jewelrycraft 157,500 (489 322 combines) (450 350 combines)

I will update this list as I work the others. The values I vouch for as correct or very close as of Oct 2009:

                  Alchemy 262,044 (753 348 combines) (749 350 combines)*
                  Baking 350,000 (1045 335 combines) (1000 350 combines)
                  Brewing
                  Pottery 350,000 (1045 335 combines) (1000 350 combines)
                  Jewelrycraft 157,500 (489 322 combines) (450 350 combines)*

brewing is same as baking 1000 (350) combine range.
Smithing i want to say is in the 750 (350) combine range.
Tailoring and fletching in the 450 (350) combine range

                        Off topic but:

Baking and pottery were very easy to max out. I had 1400 combines of MTPs ready to go in one sitting. Just use an unloved NPC to vendor bank the parts.

I used the halfling in Shadowhaven that sells Jumjun Stalks as he is next to the oven and close to a bank. What I did was made 1400 picnic baskets then sold all 70 stacks to the halfling. The loss in selling an NPC the MTP components and re-buying it is very tiny. Then I repeated that for each item until the NPC was "holding" 560 stacks of MTP parts for me. I would also vendor-bank the subcombines. For example I would buy the mandrake root, loaf of bread and all other components and sell them to the NPC. That way I didn't have to move to get them later. Vendor-bank the cooking utensils like the dairy spoon and mixing bowls, too.

I'd guess that it took me under 6 hours to go from scatch to 1200+ MTPs. I could have NEVER done that so fast using the bank, alts and mules. Vendor-banking rules!

This also worked well for Unfired Star Ruby Encrusted Steins. Vendor bank 60 stacks of magic clay, celestial essence, and even the water close to the pottery wheel to make things go fast.
