Tradeskill quest -PoR required?

I had to ask this cuz I thought Ngreth said the tradeskill quests in Freeport required PoR expansion. I got the quest and 2 master trophies and I still haven't gotten the expansion yet. I was going to buy one locally buy they all are sold out grrr...

We bought 3 copies of POR the day it came out, but my husband forgot to register his. He then went off and completed his Masters Jewelers trophy that evening without POR installed. Two days later when I was logging his character on, I noticed he wasn't registered so did it for him.

So I can confirm that you apparently don't need POR to do the tradeskill trophies.

I thought Ngreth said something about needing PoR for the highest level trophy, not sure but I recall him saying something to that effect.

ETA on when this "may" change? I received the tasks lastnight after reading this thread, hadn't considered it since a prior post indicated that PoR was required.

I'll most likely purchase PoR this weekend, however I would expect to be finished with a few of the tasks - maybe all of them - before the purchase.

If I make the change, it will not happen until the next patch. This is not scheduled until 3/14 (of course an emergency patch could change this)

If the patch happens to go live earlier than expected and happens before I get PoR I hope my trophies won't poof. Stone bean were a real pain to get.

Seems that there is a code bug related to that (YaY! it was not my fault!!!)

I already have them flagged for PoR only... but for some reason, people are still able to get the task.

Unfortunately, being a code bug... I do not know what will happen to a task you already got.

It will *NOT* affect any trophy you managed to get though. (The items are not flagged, just the task. We don't even have a way to tag items by expansion... we just let "no trade" handle that )
