I did all my (limited) tradeskills before the new user interface. Is there a short guide on how to use the new interface? Currently I go into the experiment mode and use it for what ever combine I need. Kinda n00Bish I know but I didn't see it anywhere in the FAQ (maybe becuase its's been out so long).

"new" TS interface

If your bags open in experiment mode (aka the old way) hold ctrl + right click them. You can search for recopies you know at the top. If you know the recipe and you plan on doing this combine often click on the "add" button at the bottom. Any recopies thus added are on your favorite list and will display when you open the bag with the new UI. The neat thing is it will show you what items are needed and then what you have (green) and what you are missing (red). The other nice thing is you can have other stuffs in the bag and not have to move it around while in this mode.
You learn a recipe after doing the combine the old way a time or two (success) or several failures.

If you want to do a combine, do a search by tying in the item you want to create or a partial name, if it comes up on the list then it will show the items required, they'll be red if you're missing any, then just hit the combine button, hit auto-inventory to put it in your first open inventory slot to combine again...
If your recipe doesn't show up on the search, you haven't learned it, so do the combine in experimental mode until you get 'you have learned a new recipe'. This happens only on success, I think it might not happen if the trivial is way higher than where you are at the time though.Xorshaikx level 73 Iksar Monk

Couple things:
- If I'm not mistaken... there's a ? in the upper right corner of the TS interface... that's always a good place to start when figuring out something new.
- You can only "learn" a recipe on a success, if it's even learnable (some aren't). You also don't "learn" recipes you get automatically (recipes withing 50 trivial of your skill that are marked as "autolearn" by the designers), since you "auto learned" it when you achieved that skill level.
- You've been away from tradeskills for quite a while, it seems. Take that long for your hand to uncurl?
Hopefully the TS interface will be less painful this time around.

Veritable QuandaryUnless they fixed it, you do learn the recipe for the poison trophy. Some recipes cannot be learned by the Tradeskill UI.
Trophies, for example.

Thank You!
Thank you very much for the guidance. It has really helped. And I must say WOOT love the much less clicking.
"You've been away from tradeskills for quite a while"
Aye, I did it for the shawl back when. I don't track, don't forage, have little patience to hunt greens, not enough free time to hunt TS drops from blues, and am poor because I can't sell my old armor for pp (it's all No Drop these days). Anyways, I've started again and am kicking myself for skilling up before the patch, I wonder if the lvl 3 trophy tasks would have been much easier than the lvl 4 I am going to have to do now hehe.
Thanks again all.

Ok another question?
I assume this is Fact coming from Tanker.
I assume this is a well grounded assumption.
Any idea what "way higher" is? I am in the low 200's and have been collecting some TS drops in groups and raids for skill up attemps but some of the combines I might try are above 300.
