  • Combine command line?

There isn't a legal combine command line is there? Am sure everyone has gone through this but good grief the number of clicks you have to do in order to get the thing to get the next thing to make the deal you really wanted to make (xhundreds) is just crazy.

WTB a WoW TS interface "combine all" button

Anyone come up with a low tech way to do it - train pets, kids, use a kid's toy, etc? What are those bird deals that "peck" every few minutes? Wonder if they would strike the mouse/key hard enough lol.

My daughter has been known to click combine followed by autoinventory while I try and figure out exactly what it is her homework is asking. (I hate "new" math.)

Got my 3 year old trained to do combines for me all the time. 200 celestial essence? No problem. Tell him he is making orange juice and he gets excited.

There was a post on the EQ boards by Rytan (http://eqforums.station.sony.com/eq/...ge.id=623#M623) where he indicated that the game pad button sequencing was permitted for rangers and bards to autobow and autotwist (back before those commands were added to game). The game pad that was talked about on the ranger board was a Nostromo N52 (http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProdu...uct_Id=157024). I don't know what kinds of macroing it's capable of but it make sense that it could do mouse clicks and button clicks.

disclaimer 1 : the post from rytan was primarily concerned with bards and rangers atuobowing and autotwisting and didnt refer to tradeskilling, so there might be a different set of rules for tradeskilling. Maybe Ngreth or Nolrog can enlighten us if the rules are different for tradeskillers when it comes to gamepads. If there's concern about this, you might want to post in the tradeskill forum on the EQ boards (http://eqforums.station.sony.com/eq/...oard.id=Trade).
disclaimer 2 : unattended macroing is a violation of the eula regardless if via gamepad or some other software (unmentionable).
disclaimer 3 : im making assuptions about the applicability of the nostromo, so don't really know if it'll do it or not.

That's the most important thing right there. Anything that allows you to do things in the game while you're not sitting at your machine are highly frowned on and will result in your account being suspended or banned. As such, any discussion of how to do these things are not allowed on these forums. (Obviously, having a kid or pet do combines for you does not fall into this catagory. )

Unless I have missed it you can only macro keyboard entries so you can do things like make a macro and have the device "push" a hotbutton key over and over or have it actually type out "/doability x" or whatever. The only way I know to do a combine is to actually click the button which wont work for these devices.

Besides telling my 4yr old he is making orange juice (my wife would probably kill me) an option could be to make a macro that does autoinventory and then a slight pause and have the N52 spam that. That cuts down the number of click by 1/2 to 2/3 depending on what I am making.

That orange juice thing cracked me up too lol.

I removed a post and am locking this thread. I don't know where the EULA draws the line but I'm not willing to let us wander over it unintentionally. I'd suggest that folks interested in this further take the discussion to the SOE boards where you'll have the supervision of the folks who know what's allowable.

The absolute last thing we want is some innocent folks getting banned for trying things they read on our boards, even things suggested by other innocent folks.
