  • Vendor diving part2

I was just wondering who else out there who do the same things i do when i vendormine.

We all know there are special vendors with higher chance of scoring the right items. But sometimes those vendors gets filled up with crap.

So, once in a while. I go to those vendors and buy out that crap. Go to another low-turnover vendor and unload the crap. Thus creating more room for the valueable items to turn up on the good vendors again.

Patch days are golden tho $$

So, anyone else out there who does the same as me?

Always. Especially with the Bazaar vendors and gems such as Peridots, Emeralds, Malachite, etc... which I sell to the gem vendor (who has unlimited stock, therefore won't get overloaded on them).

Crap. When I came back to the game and saw the new vendor interface I figured you saw every item the vendor had. I take it that isn't the case, there is just a different layout? If so I am guessing the same general rule applies: if you sell an item to a vendor but don't see it they have more but is burried?

You DO see very item a vendor has but they are still limited to 80 slots. Anything over that just vanishes forever. They're talking about cleaning out some slots so things don't permanently vanish.

Nope, vendors show their entire stock. What they're suggesting here is to empty a few spots on the vendor's list by buying cheap items. That way, when other players sell to that vendor, there's a chance they'll sell a valuable item first. Since the vendor now has space, the valuable item won't be auto-destroyed.

I salt vendors now and then. I'll get rid of a cheap item in the 80 item list and then sell the item I want more of to the vendor, and come back in a few hours or days hoping to find more, and hoping people haven't bought the salted item.

Some vendors are better than others for this, now if only other tradeskillers wouldn't buy EVERY item the vendor had...

Please, leave at least 1, keep the salts alive!

I only salt the Guild Hall vendors. Everyone else is the enemy and therefore get nothing if I can help it!

Well... you do realize that if your Guild Hall sits empty for a short period of time (not sure, think it's about 10 minutes), then the zone "resets" and all your salting just goes away... right?
