You are correct, what I'm looking for is a list viewing of my bank inventory rather than having to sort through bag after bag after bag.

I think this solution would eliminate the need for different bag graphics, because if you can sort your entire inventory at a glance and take it out, who cares what bag its in? *lol*

I sure hope they implement a personal version of the guildbank for the new expansion, especially since we're going to have 32 bags to search through. Even with just 24, most of my screen is filled up, allowing for 2 shared bank bags and room to drop things onto the Destroy button, Autobank, and personal Autoequip areas.

At the very least I want the Open All Bags command to apply to the bank when I have it open.

Well, with 32 bag slots (plus 2 more shared), it's just gonna make my program all that much more needed, hehe.

            Something you are forgetting...

I would like to see barter window style access to everything in my bank.
At first, it's sounds a reasonable request...
...but what you are forgetting are bag sizes and slots within.

Person A has 10 handmade backpacks and 6 trader bags in the bank.
Person A also carries around 2 toolboxes filled with potions, spare weapons, maybe a clickie or two, etc.
It's the end of the day now and Person A wants to take out all 6 trader bags for overnight profiteering.

            1) How fast can Person A pull out 6 trader bags worth of items?
            2) How does the bank keep track of what giant items remain in the bank when all giant-sized containers are suddenly removed?

Additionally, when you are dealing a with barter style window, you can't see how many items to a stack, how many stacks are taking up how many slots, or allow sorting by type (for example: bag 1 is no drop quest items, bag 2 is droppable quest, bag 3 is for collapsible containers, bag 8 is for epic items, bag 9-16 for tradeskill items subdivided by cultural, tiers, etc.).

Although it is a great suggestion, the devs know that not everyone fills their bank with 16 giant-sixed, 10 slot containers. For this reason, I don't think we will ever see barter style banking with the sole exception of the shroud bank.

Hmmm, wonder if we could talk the devs into (1) making the shroud bank last longer than two days at a time and (2) allowing us to put things into the shroud bank manually up to it's 64/73/81* item capacity.

            *64/73/81 = 64 items + 8 bags and 1 bag on cursor = 73 + 8 items in bag = 81.

I'd like to vote for a new method of banking.

Use the guild bank or merchant as a template.

List everything seperatly. Completely eliminate the need for a bag to hold things in the bank.

Give us 500 'slots'. Nothing would be stored in a bag, stackable items would stack in bank. everything in bank would be in the list, nothing hidden in a bag. Bank statcking can be the first to see stacks to a reasonable size above 20.

Then add a "note" area where the player can 'tag' items for quest, tradeskill, skilling, friend, etc.

This way you can sort by item name, or by note, quantity etc.

That sounds good...on 'paper', but some of us hold specific, unique tradeskill containers (e.g. Coldain Tanner Kit, Vale Sewing Kit) in the bank while we're not using them. And I find that having to go to the bazaar to exchange a token everytime I want to use one of those is tiresome.

Getting rid of all the extra running back and forth through teleporters and hallways and ramps and whatnot would help. If the token lady were right by the bank again I could see this kind of bank being very good indeed.

*digs out her "Save The Old Bazaar!" sign and marches in a circle*

Except then *every* container would have to be tokenizable, which I'm not sure is somewhere they'd want to go.

Edit: Oh, but now that I reread I see that it was having to go to the Bazaar that was an issue. That's true, then you'd need tokenizers in every bank.

Not to mention the many quest containers that are no drop and can't be tokenized.

For that matter... I sure wouldn't want to have to buy trader satchels EVERY time I went into bazaar mode.

I dunno about you but the most common thing I do in my bank is swap out whole containers. Swap in my normal loot holding containers and swap out my trader satchels with my inventory for sale or vice versa. When I want to do some research I swap out one of my normal containers for my research kit with all my components already in it.

That would be considerably more time consuming under a guildbank type window than what we have now.

Gotta agree about the bazaar too. I hate the bazaar layout... it was fine the way they had it before at least once they added the hide all traders button. The teleporters are particularly annoying... why can't that tunnel just run right up into the trader area?

Blue side is even sillier since I have never seen more than 20 buyers up at any one given time. Having more than a dozen is fairly rare even. Why not just combine the two.

Even though I know there's no chance of it happening before the release of PoR, how about a hybrid solution... we keep our 16 regular bank slots, but with PoR, we get 80 barter style slots that can hold anything cept bags (which would go into our existing 16 slots).

                        NOOOOooooooooo!

I sure hope they implement a personal version of the guildbank for the new expansion, especially since we're going to have 32 bags to search through.

No, you don't. Using the Guild Bank interface as a banker is like using a rock to fix your broken toilet. You try for 10 minutes, then go pee in the yard.

Guild Bank, I hate thee. Let me count the ways.

                        1. I despise the way you reset the sort to 'None' whenever I remove an item.

                        2. I loathe your 'Cannot split a stack of 2' bug

                        3. The 'Cannot tag a second stack differently if a stack of an item is tagged' gives everyone who wants the same item ulcers

                        4. I hate that I cannot Multi-select and Destroy the 950 summoned waters the the guild joker just deposited.

                        5. I cry at the complete lack of platinum handling.

                        6. I would pay real money for meaningful filters, such as 'Tradeskill Items', 'Food/Water', 'Droppable Items', 'Weapons', 'LORE items', or 'AC < X'

                        7. The lack of accountability on withdrawals is criminal. Well, it breeds them anyway.

                        8. I am disrepected because I cannot tag things for Only Officers.

                        9. Having to, one by one, insert and mark 'Public' 20 stacks of Misty Thicket Picnics three times a week has impacted my DKP rankings from the missed raids.

                        10. My mind is bent by the physics of two singles of the same stackable item not being able to exist.

                        11. I make fletchers cry when 9000 Mithril Champion arrows go directly to Destroy because We Don't Have 90 Open Slots

Actually, I like having the two separate. It makes it impossible for people to do trader scams, where they try to make it look like they're selling some item for an extremely low price... but in reality, they're buying said item for that price. Maybe the different search windows for buyers and sellers helps with this, but keeping the two physically apart is in my opinion a good thing.

As for a guild bank style window, no thanks. What I would like is the ability to search for a specific item by name in my bank.
