  • Barter Style Access to Bank

I would like to see barter window style access to everything in my bank. With the current UI, you can easily sort everything in your held inventory when searching in the barter mode - it should not be that difficult to code the same window for your bank inventory.

Just a thought. What do you all think?

Certainly sounds interesting. I know we've all spent five minutes checking and rechecking our bags for that one item we *know* we have somewhere.

hehe yes this would definitely be useful... for the barter window alone I keep my words mule holding 8 bags full of words in the bazaar instead of banking them. That way he can just do /barter and I have a nice list of everything he has on him - it would be very handy to transform this functionality to your bank.

In a similar vein, I'd like a "SELL ALL" button on merchants...which would, of course, sell all copies of the selected item. So, you could click an item in your inventory and sell all of them (like Fine Steel Swords, etc.) that you have picked up in your travels.

They've been promising a Loot All button for corpses for a while =P. A Sell All button wouldn't be too shabby either.

Thankfully I've accepted the fact that before I start a run of combines, I'll have to make at least two trips back to the bank and spend several minutes searching. This is also why I refuse to do any smithing in Surefall, since I'd have to zone just to get to a bank.

And while we're on the subject of wish-list UI changes, I'd really like to see more filter option on the /barter window. I like to check that frequently to see if anyone is buying items that I can make, but don't usually have much of a market for. That 200 limit gets to be a pain when I'm doing open-ended searches. I was thinking a high/low price filter (very useful for ignoring those people who offer to buy every rare tradeskill component for 10pp or so) and whether or not something is tradeskill tagged would be very helpful for me as well.

A Sell All button is probably way to dangerous. But a personal guild bank would be very nice and gets my vote.

For those that mentioned you have problems/difficulties finding where you left stuff in the bank and such, your solution is in my sig. <<== shameless plug, hehe

Loot All button has been shot down by a dev in a eqlive forums post at least once. I seriously doubt they ever promised it.

Bah, I remember reading some tid bit that said something about Loot All supposedly being slated to be put in last September. I guess that's a lot of holes for a memory. Still, just put it on player corpses for Cazic's sake.

The reason Loot All doesn't exist is that they don't want you to be able to recover from a death instantly. I have no idea about it on mob corpses, but they have said in the past that it will not be put in for players.

How does looting all my gear with one quick allow me to recover instantly? I still have rez effects, no mana, no endurance and little health.

Ok perhaps not instantly... at least for some classes anyway... but at a controlled rate at least. Rez effects mean nothing for casters and many caster classes have ways of recovering quickly, gather mana, mage epic clicky pet, etc. Melee classes can also return to the fray immediately... sure they lose some effectiveness, but not all of it.

Think back to the server (which one it is eludes me now) that managed to kill the Sleeper. They did it by having a huge number of people and doing MASSIVE amounts of combat rezzing. Imagine how much easier that would have been if people could click 1 button to loot their entire corpse. Sure this is an exaggerated example but that's why it is the way it is and that's why they've said they won't change it.

I don't see it as any more dangerous as the Sell button already is.

                          2 scenarios:

                          1) You accidentally sell something rare. You probably have very few of these (if more than 1 at all). So, very similar to selling the single one accidentally.

                          2) You accidentally sell something "easily" obtainable. You can probably re-obtain them.

Now, it could cost you some money, but I say ya put the button far away from the normal sell button (so you don't click it accidentally often) and just be careful. /shrug

                          Also, just so we're clear:

The Sell All button would only sell all items you have that match the selected one. So, for instance, you have 52 Crystallized Sulfurs and 31 Shissar Scales in your inventory (yeah, you aren't gonna sell these...but it's just an example). You click on a stack of Sulfurs and then click Sell All. It sells all the Sulfurs. Then you click on a stack of Scales and click Sell All, and it sells all the Scales. Nothing else in your inventory is affected.

/shrug, for whatever reason. It's not like it takes long to right click everything anyway. This is slightly off track, but thanks for the info.

I'm not too familiar with XML, but would it be possible to make a UI that has a functional Sell All and Loot All, or even the barter window appearance for the bank?

Not currently, no. You can only place buttons that have existing functionality. You can't add new ones.
