    I have?

I thought I have at least been hedging it with "No current plans" which is not "Vehement" denial, since I am acknowledging the posibility...

Just that it is not happening this expansion, and I have made no, nor heard of any specific plans for it in following expansions/events.

I am not denying that it may happen at some point.

Sorry N'greth, that was my Brit irony coming thru. I was actually highlighting that you HADN'T quashed it, and was starting to get scared the next expansion might contain it, and we hadn't heard yet

          Probably stillw as not clear

          There are not current plans.

I have heard of no future plans.

But it is also not something I will say will never happen.

So you will have your break not coming with this expansion... so you have a break, even if it does happen with the next one (which I doubt, but I cannot guarantee will not happen)

in reguards to the skill caps, befor kunark went live, the caps were 200 for tradeskills (just there was no recipies to take you higher with some skills, i belive that banded armor would take smithing to 178 way back then, only Jewlry Crafting and Fletching had recipies that would get you all the way to 200 back then)(memory kind fuzzy could be wrong on some of this)

During the Kunark Era , few months befor release of Velious, there were tradeskill changes were tons of new recipies were added and a cap was placed on tradeskills of 200/250, meaning you could get ONE skill over 200 up to 250, and all others caped at 200, not till PoP / New Tanaan Crafting mastery could you get more then 1 skill over 200, and DoN upped the cap from 250 to 300.

Actually what happened I believe is that they simply lowered the trivials on some of the items.

I think they did both. I know banded used to trivial much higher than it is now. They frequently look at the trivial of various combines, and adjust them over time, as new recipes are added. It helps keep everything balanced out.

Speaking of triv adjustments, we got anything similar to the Solstice robe/velious armor adjustment coming down the pipe any time soon? I know some adjustments are being considered for the future, I just want to make sure they won't arrive yet on release day for PoR.

I beleive its already been hinted that karana fletching recipies are for the chop, and I suggest that anyone using sickles for smithing might want to hurry up and get to 300 whilst they still can. Basically I think any vendor based route to 300 in tradeskills might be at risk, apart from brewing and baking, so pottery should watch its step too for vendor recipies.

No they didn't nerf banded until much later... in fact at the same time that they nerfed the trivial on fine plate... used to be fine plate BP trivialed out at 248.

This was not until after fine plate recipes had been in for a long time... perhaps even in velious? or luclin? I can't remember anymore.

yep, that is correct, during the Luclin Era, shortly after the release of the new blacksmithing recipies (ie Blessed full mithril ect ect) few weeks after that release they lowered the trivial on some items i belive (its been awhile)

Lets jog me ol brain cells.... late kunark era, just prior to release of velious was 1st big tradeskills change, intro of fine plate armor and what we now refer to as old cultural armor, skill cap increased to 250 w/ only 1 of tradeskills able to break 200, intro of blue diamonds (used in the enchant spells ie enchant mithril, enchant brellium) later BDs were removed as a component, Velious era hits us, lots of new additions to tradeskills, i dont remember any serious changes to trivials at that time however

next up, Luclin... the "new" cultural as it was refered to at that time... Blessed Mithril.. Blessed full mithril ect ect, mad insane rush by smiths to reach 250 cap prior to rumor'd change in smithing... price of blue diamonds goes from 200ish pp each up to 2k each .... changes to the smithing trivials hit.... also at this time was the Solstice Earring tradeskill made items, massive boon to tradeskillers....PoP and onward most folks are familiar with

I still regret to this day skilling up to 250 brewing first. At the time that I did it, the fine plate market was already faded away to nothing and there was no reason to spend a lot of money skilling up in smithing so I did brewing just because it was easy. Shortly thereafter they nerfed fine plate trivials while I was only at 188 smithing. I couldn't raise it past 200 anyway and I totally missed out on the massive profits in new cultural.
