I have No comment on the spell focus effects.

I note that the Wurine Feeling Stone augment says:

    Focus Effect: Improved Dodge III

Is this broken as well, and, if so, will it be fixed in the patch too?

Yes, and yes (per the hodgepodge extreme of a couple weeks back)

You do know that Last blood augs had Anguish foci originally and Bazu had tacvi ones right?

I personally don't see anything wrong with having Dragon foci. Seems the ability to choose what focus to get is enough for me. Ten percent isn't really that much of a difference. I'm a proud wearer of a last blood aug in my hat, since the only fire foci that druids can get is on an item that pretty much flat out sucks and is not worth my dkp until maybe other upgrades.

OK, so you did a patch today and didn't fix this issue. What gives? What is the ETA?

Today did not have an Items patch. I did say somewhere that I did not expect this in until February.

              Ngreth,

I am sure this is not your fault, so please excuse the rant that follows - it is not directed at you. By the way, I really do appreciate your quick response.

I am totally mystified, and franky disappointed by the goings on here. SOE took the opportunity to do (in the grand scheme of things) a totally useless patch in which resulted in a monumental screw up. At the same time, these augs which have been in the game since September got no attention at all. Now, I freely admit that there probably weren't many bazu/last blood augs in the game until November or so, but that's not the point. These have been broken for 5 months, and in interim, the New Year content has come and gone.

Be angry if you want your prerogative. I personally think it adds stress to a person's system where it is not warranted.

This patch purposefully made as few changes as possible.
We purposefully did NOT want to patch items because of transitional changes, and items are all or none, and it was more important to NOT have other changes go in when items go in. (Note... Recipes go in at the same time as items, and there are definitely some recipe changes I did not want going in)

The purpose of this patch was to remove the holiday content. The only reason code changed at all was to fix those pets.

We only changed two zones, unfortunately one of those zones was Plane of Knowledge. A totally unexpected data corruption happened, and this data corruption is what caused the vendors to appear. We had taken measures to be sure they would not appear on live servers, but data corruption is not really predictable.

Folks, please remember that these are NOT the SOE boards. If you want to talk to SOE, use their boards. Posting here should be strictly for talking about tradeskills with the tradeskill community, which may or may not mean Ngreth will join in, as he sees fit.

And before anyone says it, things DO get read and sometimes answered there. If you don't get a direct response there as often as you'd like, trying to bring that traffic here is putting a burden on us that we simply can't bear. Our resources are limited, even with ads and volunteers.

                  We appreciate your understanding

It's Preservation of Mithaniel, a time level focus that maxes at lvl 67 instead of a anguish level focus like all the other augments. The issue seems to be that there was no dragon level mana pres focuses. For deterimental mana pres they just made last blood and dragon the same focus. For benifical they made the bazu version lower level than it should be.
Can I voice the same question, since this doesn't appear to have been commented upon yet?

To add more data to this issue to make the point clear, compare there focus effects on the following Augs:
Bazu Seal of Favourable Breezes - Preservation of Mithaniel (Beneficial Only, 20% Pres, 67 Cap)
Bazu Seal of Breezes - Conservation of Xegony (Any Spell, 20% Pres, 67 Cap).

Now, even if we put to one side the issue that 20% with a 67 Cap gives only 14% for level 70 spells - the main issue is that there is no point at all in Bazu Seal of Favourable Breezes being in the game at all since it only works on beneficial spells when the Bazu Seal of Breezes will give the same amount of mana pres and work on ALL spells.

Something just doesn't seem right here.

Bumping because this is the most relevant thread I could find to ask. I could have sworn Ngreth said somewhere (perhaps live boards) that some of the spell focuses were probably going to be looked at. My specific question is in regards to extended range focus for Last Bloods.

Are there currently any plans to add Aneuk Glare and/or Ikaav Glare to the possible focuses from last bloods?

I sent that off to Zajeer a bit ago and have heard nothing about it.

I've been keeping an eye on these DoD augs, as I have a number of empty slot 12 spots on my main... not that I think I'll ever see a nodrop DoD aug stone. A quick aside on that subject - Chronal's off Zomm seem ridiculous, he appears to be harder than Korlach, who drops the better discordant stone. The itemisation of the low end stones seems screwy - Bazu & Last Blood make sense, but Discordant/Chronal are insanely difficult in RvR terms. I absolutely agree with previous requests to make them 1-group accessible.

Back on point, In trying to fill empty slot 12 aug spots, I've started looking at the insanely expensive OOW augs (*eagerly anticipates the droprate review*). In looking at augs of "pure celerity" (a mere 400k on Cazic), I note that Affliction Haste V off these oldskool OOW augs provides a substantially better detrimental spell haste (33%) than even the Last Blood of the Traveller with Alacrity of the Aneuk (23%).

So here's my question - is this OOW stuff too old to be reviewed, or is it at risk of nerfage? Or (more for the benefit of the ubers with their Last Blood augs) is it likely that the DoD Augs will have their focii pumped up to compensate.

Or am I missing something obvious...?

<Edit - not 5 minutes later, I answer my own question. The OOW aug only works on DoTs... the DoD one works for all detrimental. /bonk self>
