Nightmare Arachnid Silk Question for Ngreth

Hi Ngreth, I was wondering if you could please answer a quick question?

I recently started using nightmare arachnid silks for tailoring on my necro(MD) and noticed that the drop rate on these has radically changed from when PoP was new. When PoP first came out Perv made many, many nightmarewood compound bows for fletching skill ups(and cash ) and at that time it seemed the drops were fairly even between "a predatory creeper" and a "a loathsome creeper".
Some time ago however, a "bypass quest" for PoN flagging was introduced and a new item was added to the drop table for the "a loathsome creeper".
This item, "silky cloth", seems to be an overly common drop for this mob. I have found a drop rate of over 95% for these and was wondering if it was intentional as it seems to have occluded the drops of "nightmare arachnid silk"?
What are your thoughts on this please?

Please remember that this board is not the place for questions that you're really only asking of the devs. This is a community board where the devs (including Ngreth), as members of the community, are welcome to participate as they wish. The SOE forums are the place to address SOE when they are really the only ones you want to talk to. This policy is to prevent this board from being overrun by those wanting dev attention, which would completely overwhelm our tight resources. Bandwidth isn't cheap, and moderating takes a lot of time.

Now, questions posed to the community ("does anyone know why..." or "has anyone heard whether...") are perfectly fine, and may very well get input from devs as well as other players who have seen the answers posted elsewhere. But nobody, Ngreth or otherwise, is obligated to reply. Given that, you're actually probably more likely to get an answer if you don't address any devs in particular, because it's not going to set an unwelcome precedent.

Rather than delete, I'm closing this, but not to pick on you Perseverence. People seem inordinately attracted to closed threads (virtual rubbernecking? ) so I'm hoping this'll help more folks see this.
