    EverQuest Prophecy of Ro

The gods have returned and the mortal realm shifts with their influence.
But a new presence walks among the gods, a malevolent force released into godhood by the follies of mortals. Unbound by the laws of the pantheon, it leaves corruption in its wake and threatens tobring the entire pantheon crumbling down.  The only hope for Norrath hangs on the very mortals who have unleashed this upheaval. EverQuest Prophecy of Ro includes the following features:
    • Player-set Traps: Control your battles before they even begin by deceiving your opponents with a new arsenal of player-set traps!
    • Spheres of Influence: Transform the world of Norrath by creating magical spheres of influence to thwart your enemies or aid your allies. These artifacts will create a localized area where the rules of the game can change.
    • Destructible Objects: Interact with and destroy pieces of the game world leading toa new level of interactivity within the game. Chop down doors, tumble walls, and destroy encampments!
    • Buff Filters: Decide which buffs you would rather auto-decline with the new buff filtering system!
    • 8 New Bank Spaces
    • New Missions: Battle your way through over 30 new missions.
    • New Creatures, New Environments and New Encounters: More than 25 unique creatures, 7 Zones, and 6 Small Instances.
    • New Spells, Tasks, Disciplines and Trade skills

The new expansion will be downloadable via the EverQuest Station Store for U.S. $29.99 (plus tax where applicable). Retailers will be offering a boxed version that will carry a suggested retail price of $29.99, as well as a special in-game item, a Warhorse mount, for players to enjoy. Additionally, a reduced price of $26.99 will be available to consumers who pre-order and purchase the digital download version direct from Sony Online Entertainment. What interested me more is the new TRADE SKILLS. Was that supposed to be tradeskill recipes or are we indeed getting to try our hand in "trap-building", "siege engineering" and "nanotechnology"?

I would guess recipes, I seem to recall the marketing people making that mistake before too.

8 new bank slots pretty much guarentes my $29.99

They give me 2 expansions worth of new tradeskill stuff I have to hold in bank until I'm ready to burst, and then toss in another 8 slots a year later.

          I currently have-
1 full bag of GM symbol patterns
1 full bag of Elven smithing molds
1 full bag of Elven patterns for tailoring
1 full bag of Master symbol patterns
          (all of which is no-drop)
1 full bag of BD cultural armor supplies
3 full bags of spell research materials

And that's just my bank, it's not counting the various mules stuffed with things!

I'm positive it was supposed to be recipes.

Trap building and siegengines would probably fit under smithing or possibley tinkering(by jobaner i hope not)

Hurray for the bank! I wonder if we can have sphere's of tradeskilling influence where we can modify the success rate of combines...

Yes, I know there is no chance, but a ranger can dream can't he?

There is one thing that disappoints me with the upcoming expansion and one thing that has me leary that I will wait and see.

The disappointment, no announced level cap increase.

The leary item, interactive world stuff. Sounds like a good idea... but somehow it just seems like a whole new set of means for me to Client Crash lol. We will have to wait and see on that one.

I hate to be a cynic, but I somehow feel that the new recipes mentioned will take up all 8 of the new bank slots themselves.

                              Leaving us no better off.

                              But. On a better note.
