Chronal and Discordant Stones

Yeah, people realize you have to use an AAAA to make a chronal augment also. What people don't realize is that Chronal Augments are not all that bad. Yeah, they aren't as drool worthy as Last Bloods and Bazus, but for people not in uber high end guilds, they are still great augments between Resists, the shielding effects they hand, the ac/hps/mana + the effect of your choice.

The frustrating thing is everyone is only thinking along the lines of "It's not Bazu or Last Blood, it's a waste of time." Not everyone is in a guild that is farming Demi-Plane to obtain these... so yeah, if the best you can farm is Chronal, the upgrade is still going to be large for that person.

Sure do, and I know the chronal augs are better than the current DoN slot 12 augs I currently wear....so it's still an upgrade.

Assuming I make the AAAA myself, which I have leveled a tink just to do so, the cost can easily be recovered just by reselling the DoN aug and selling those crystals.

I have 5 type 12 slots that could be replaced, even with a chronal stone that would eat an AAAA.

That is the point too. Some tinker's may sell the AAAA for 400K but others will do the combines for reasonable prices (as noted by one person on this forum already). Not everyone is out to make 300k per tradeskill item they make.

At say 60k for the AAAA and say 20K for the seal (if the person is a tradeskiller here not trying to just buy all the stuff) maybe 20K for the focus the seal would be well worth the 100K for those that are not in a postion to get bazu/last blood stones.

I haven't chosen a guild yet as I left my old one recently, but I'm not sure I will end up in a guild with access to bazu/last blood stones even though I do raid a lot. And I have a lot of time and plat tied up in my cultural. The chronal augs put them higher than time and not a lot lower than qvic gear and is well worth the plat to me to invest and get this.

Considering the time and effort spent in making AAAAs, as well as the cost, they definitely wouldn't be worth selling at 60k each.

Suometar you didn't bother reading my post. 60k would be the cost for doing the combined to make the AAAA and the cost for all the ingredients, not the various subcombines. Personally I think 400k (340k or more over the cost) is outrageous for an AAAA. I think 100 to 150k would be more on par, but that is for another subject.

A tradeskiller who does all combines possible and only pays a gnome to do the tinkering combines should be able to get a chronal done for about 100k.

It's fair to those doing tradeskills as most of us don't have access to last blood/bazu stones and even most of those wearing cultural don't have access to them. Those with access to them are Gates/Anguish geared. Which is sad because then most of it isn't even an upgrade.

I am Gates/Anguish geared and am looking forward to getting a bazu stone and making a nice piece of armor. Bazu auged armor is on par with Anguish quest armor and you get to pick what effect you want on the piece instead of being stuck with what Sony decided your class should have on that piece. For example, the ranger helm has 45% haste and 25 attack. I don't really need either of those effects, so I'll hopefully make a piece of half elf cultural and aug it with a bazu stone with perhaps the Improved Dodge 3 effect which would be useful. Same thing with other slots, for instance the bracer has no effect on it, just mods. Making a half elf bracer and throwing a nice effect on it will be a nice upgrade.

Okay, it has minor upgrades but what I am refering to is the overall stats difference between your average person out there who is wearing cultural and the people who are able to obtain last blood/bazu stones and even discordant stones.

Personally what I see is other than focus effects there is no real difference between cultural with last blood augs and anguish gear in stats so I can understand the reasoning to make these so hard to achieve.

But to those who invested a lot of time and plat into there cultural armor I don't feel it is fair if the chronal didn't make it out of beta. Most wearing cultural now are not Anguish geared and by the time they have access to Last blood stones could quite possible have destroyed have there cultural for the bank room as they have gotten better armor.

Many will never see those nor discordant stones. So basically soon came out with this almighty great upgrade to cultural and left out their primary current patrons of the gear, the casual player.

That is my complaint. I understand where being able to choose focus, etc.. would be an upgrade but by they left 90% of th people currently wearing cultural out in the cold.

It's more like 50% now...

On tribunal it is still closer to 80 or 90%. Mostly because there are not that many last blood/bazu stones out there on tribunal. It may be different on other servers.

Has it been confirmed that they did not make it out of Beta? If so, why?

Actually, I don't care why, I care more that they will be added into the loot table, and to have some idea as to when that would happen.

I'm not directly asking a Dev, but I certainly wouldn't be apposed to one answering.

Dunno why. I told people to add it. Someone that had the appropriate level encounter dropped the ball.

I added one to one event, I don't remember which (I am at home at 6am...) and I think maybe the zone did not get updated. And as it is, I will not be saying which event anyway.

Unfortunately this may mean that this will not happen for quite a while... Late February We are currently at a point where if we do have a patch, which we may not... we want to patch as little as posible for a little while... and this may be deemed something that can wait a bit longer. Will have to research it when I get to work.

On Prexus at least, it cost me about 200k each to make my oow augs just in parts, (combines done by myself and my brother). Heck unimproved Radiant Kyanites are still selling for 200k . When my brother and I each got bazu stones, it cost less to finish both of them together than any one of our oow augs. Its much easier to farm the drops, and you don't have to worry about expensive success capped combines. So I can certainly see someone being willing to use an aaaa for a chronal seal.
