    Quick question:
    What is the cap for tradeskills? What I mean is can I have all tradeskill at 300+? I have seen OLD posts that say you can only have 1 skill above 200 and the rest will never be able to be above 200. Is this true?

    There are seven general tradeskills available to everyone. Assuming you don't have any AA abilities, you can take any one of these seven tradeskill over 200 (whichever one you get to 201 first), up to a cap of 300. The other tradeskills are capped at 200.

    There is a general AA ability called New Tanaan Crafting Mastery, which costs 3 AA points per rank. Each rank allows you to take one additional tradeskill over 200, up to a cap of 300. Again, whichever one you get to 201 first is the one that you can raise all the way.

    If you have any racial or class-based skills like research, poison-making, alchemy, or tinkering, you may also take that up to 300 as soon as you are able to get the skill. This doesn't affect the general tradeskills and doesn't require any AA.

      Thank You, exactly what I needed to know. I just have to make a decision on what to get to 200 first.
      I'm only lvl 38 now so it will be a while before I can get any AAs.

        to add onto the original question with a tangential one, do you need a specific expansion for the AA stuff or are they now part of the basic game? (long time player, low end expander :> )

          New Tanaan Crafting Mastery is not tied to any particular expansion, but I believe you have to have Shadows of Luclin to access any AA abilities at all.

          Jewelcrafting Mastery is specifically a Shadows of Luclin ability (enchanter class only).

          The other crafting masteries and Salvage all require Omens of War as well, since they're a part of that expansion.

            thanks, that's helpful -- I took a two year break from playing (only have up through ykesha) so never took the time to figure out the AA stuff.
