Symbol Cultural Books Being Used Up?

Are symbol cultural books used up like the normal armor mold books? Been looking around but cant find anything conclusive.

Yes, 10 uses per book.

The recipes to make the symbol patterns with the books say the same thing as the recipes to make the armor patterns: "This recipe makes 20 of each pattern (40 for wrists) for the appropriate race inside a backpack. The cultural book ingredient will be consumed the 10th time it is used. (You can repeat the quest for another.)"
