Corathus Fungus Spawn points?

Because Technically it is a byproduct of the digestive process of the Corathus.

I do not have DoD and really have no clue about these things (but that has never stopped me from speculating before )
So is if possible that Corathus is kos with another mob type, like rockhoppers and the cavemen in DSP, and maybe a fight produces this drop? If so, could you train another mob over the top of a Corathus and FD to see if they start fighting?

You found them IN the water?!

Oh heck, trying to find them above ground was bad enough, without having to go swimming for them too.

Can you at least give and idea WHERE you found them? I'm not picky, I'll settle for 'bottom left quarter of the zone' if you cannot remember exactly.

Well, three weeks later and i finally found my first large corathus fungus. Boy was i excited... so, i gathered my drake scale bar, and my drake hide swatch, and put them in the kiln... after i cast infusion of spirit on me.. held my breath and hit combine.... and FAILED! sigh. guess i'll start the hunt again.

But, at least i FOUND one!

I found a fungus over the weekend, it was underwater, though. Near the center of the zone.

There are 190+ spawn spots for the cortahus fungus... a few of them happen to be under water (it is a "path"). Most of them are above ground.

The respawn time on them is really large because that is not the intended method to get them. The actual intended is in 2 of the DoD missions, OFF the beaten path.... where they drop 100% of the time on spawn of the instance. But... When that was put in, we were not allowed to have instances updates, so the fungus on the pawn paths (yes there are more than one, but I will not say how many more than one) was added. It was added at a slow respawn because we want you to do the instances, not this ground spawn.
