    Cause for concern?

    Reading over the site today I noticed about 4 threads where Ngreth responded to the concerns of concerned tradeskillers. The threads all seem to have his initial post acknowledgine/clarifying the problem, a post about one day later saying the bug is fixed, and a final post indicating the fix should have gone live in the latest patch.

    Communication? Resposiveness? Content Fixing? Is this a bug, or should we expect Ngreth to be nerfed soon? :P

    In all honesty...

    1) Ngreth is doing a good job. But then, he was hired by SoE to focus on Tradeskill issues in EQ.

    2) Many, many, many things were addressed before Ngreth was hired on by SoE... it's just that it was rarer for anyone to post about them like Ngreth so often does.

    Not to take anything away from Ngreth here... but Tanker and others have been doing a great job for quite awhile now.

      Well said Angelsyn.

      And just as a reminder to folks, let's not abuse Ngreth's good will and address dozens of questions to him. After all, he needs time to DO all those wonderful things, rather than just post about them.

        Much hugs for Ngreth. The change in emphasis on the information front has made a huge difference to my own enjoyment of tradeskills.

        Its all about getting information, and not being made to feel ignored. I'd rather bad news a thousand times more than 'no-news'.

        What folks must resist is the temptation to is attack the bearer of bad tidings. If we get told something can't be done for a bit, the correct response is 'thanks for telling us', and not 'why not! Can't you see how important this is/why are you persecuting tradeskillers/SOE is ripping us off again/<insert whine of your choice>'.

        I shall set my warpiggie on anyone who dares be mean to Ngreth.

          Board rules would suggest that we aren't supposed to be doing that anyway. We're not supposed to direct questions or ask for feedback from the SOE developers, that's what the SOE boards are for.

                Your constant presence in each of the tradeskill forums here on EQtraders, your patience, your hints, your acknowledgement of mistakes, your in-depth knowledge, and your willingness to take advice and admit that you don't know something but will look into it have truly made a significant difference in my overall impression of SoE customer service, and my enjoyment of the game.

                You're a fantastic addition to their Team. Your communication skills are nothing short of outstanding.

                    Ngreth

                    Personally -- I think Ngreth should be lauded and praised. Nowhere else have I seen a DEV so visible, accessible and responsive (at least - as responsive as allowed). With Ngreth you can clearly see there is some hope for Sony/EQ after all -- as it does appear some of them do care about game play, content and cuistomer service -- as opposed to the bottom line and "big ideas."

                      Ngreth is doing a great job, but Oh how soon we forget...

                      Tanker and Maddoc have also been very responsive in the past. If they are now busier than a one-legged man in a butt-kicking contest, and haven't been able to post as much, well, that's probably one of the reasons there was a position available for Ngreth !

                              I love all our tradeskill devs, and their correspondent too. I feel all loved and stuff since they started hanging around now and then.
