  • Parchments in reciepies?

More and more melees are starting to claim that parchments are used in various trade skill reciepies. (First one claimed it was used in valorium jewelry, which it isn't.)

I could agree with a straight up "I want loot too" roll, but falsely (?) claiming that they are used in tradeskills is a bit low.

I've been all over the recipe pages here and couldnt' find a single one requiring parchments.

    So, are there any?

      Pure Bunko.

If they want straight roll-for-everything, that's one thing.

        Just a thought:

Melees like those valorium ring thingies. They require 2(?) metallic liquids. The imbue valor spell requires one liquid also, and a scroll (NOT parchment), and raw diamond. Perhaps they are confused and genuinely think a parchment is needed, and just need to be corrected? If you're not an adamant tradeskiller, and would plan on having someone else combine for you, perhaps you woudl still believe you need to turn in an ethereal parchment for imbue valor?

If it's just so that they can sell the parchments, then that is wrong - but do check first that they are not just going by old information

actually the parchments are no drop so they can't sell them. They can however sell the spells they get. In a pick up group i think they have as much right to roll for them as anyone. After all the spells recieved are random, so who says the casting class that recives it will not get a duplicate and sell it? Loot is loot.

At this point, parchments are cheaper than a lot of the planar blood. I wish they would have left both methods of getting the imbue spells in...
