Just came back to the game, and to my horror, they raised the tradeskill caps. Course I caught the bug again, and have started back in on em.

From what I understood before was that max skill you could get was 250, but you could get a modified skill of 252. Being lazy and cheap, I got my tailoring skill to like 240 or whatever it was so with the geerlock it read 252 as my skill. I didn't know then I would quit for a while, so i figured the other 12 points would come eventually as I made stuff to sell or for friends or whatever.

So now I come back and hear they raised the cap to 300. At first I thought that was the max, and thought mod's wouldn't raise that. I see that I am wrong . I see that if you get to 300 skill, your mod'd skill is 315. My question is this, if you have a higher mod, is 315 still the cap? This won't effect my tailoring as I dont have the shears, but I do have the VT gloves, so smithing will be affected. So with smithing, if I get to like 280is or whatever I need to have my skill +15% = 315 is that all the higher I can go? Or can i get my skill to 300 and have a modified skill of 345?

Skill can go all the way up to 345 (probably not capped at 345, but there are no mods greater than 15% in the game).

There's also no particular reason to have a skill of 345 since everything that requires that high of a skill has an increased min fail chance.
