  • Darkhollow seal design

It seems that the Darkhollow seal come in 4 tiers, each based on a differnt steel. To make the finshed aug you need the Seal, and a mechanoinstruction.

Now as far as i can tell the real bottleneck in making the augment is the mechanoinstruction. While the seals do have higher trivials, they only require one skill, and you can even take any of 4 skills to make it. The instructions on the other hand require 4 differnt high skill, one of which is class restricted, and it requires a very difficult to make, tinkered tool.

The drops for seals come off any creature, so as long as people raid in DoD, they will enter the game. The instruction components on the other hand come off specific creatures.

This all means that for all prectical purposes only the high end augments will ever be made. No one in their right mind will spend a mechanoinstruction on a chromal seal.

Now with the stats on last blood seal, I am in no way arguing that they shoud be easier to make. But maybe it would be an idea to make tiered instructions was well. I believe that the sporali skin is the bottleneck ingrediant. Maybe by using other skins for other instructions, and even a less type powder fot the 2 lower tier seals, all 4 tier seals could become reasonbly balanced.

Well if you can't aquire a high end seal like 80% of the population, Chronal augs aren't all that bad. And Sporali skins aren't super rare. They might be rare, but aquirable in the bazaar or just slaughter mobs in CC.

Any one can buy last blood steel, and the bazaar is Flooding with bazu steel. The fact remains that Bazu and Last blood stell will be entering the market, and the finished seals are just not attractive enough for the people getting the steel to keep it all.

Assuming bazzar prices to some exten reflect the dificulty of making things, the other day there were around 5 mechanoinstructions for sale at 200k each, and 8 Last blood seals at 80k.

Even if you can and will collect everything to make instructions, you are much better off making 2 instructions, swapping on straigh up for a last blood seal (you could probably easily swap 1 for 2), and then make a last blood augment, that to make 2 discortant augment.

There's also a no drop, appears-to-be-raid-only component for each aug.
