With my recent return to EQ and the wonderful world of Tradeskills, I find myself at a lost as to what I should looking for when vendor diving. Not all items with tradeskill tags are worth saving from the vendor so I'm looking for some advice on things to grab when I see them on a vendor.
One may immediately accuse me of just wanting to profit off of my fellow tradeskillers but I know that there are some items that I am willing to pay well for because my need is so great. A good example would be jade shards. They go for anything from 100pp to 400pp on Stromm which may seem ridiculous for an item that costs so little to buy from a vendor but it leads to augments that are well worth more to the user than a few hundred plat.
So here is my start to the list of items I know are now valuable in hopes that everyone will add to the list and save these items from the oblivion of resets, rollbacks and patch days.
Jade Shards
Warbone Chips
Chunk of Condensed Ice - (DO NOT use these for making arrowheads! Used for DoN Barbarian Cultural Expert Armor)
Lambent Stones
Shissar Scales
Cat/Wolf/Bear/Rockhopper Quality Pelts
Small pieces of Acrylia
Glossy Drake Hides
Slugworms
Othmir Furs
Metallic Drake Scales
Discordant Scoriea
Steel Ball Bearings
Innovative Clockwork Bolts (Obsolete?)
Bazu Steel
Cursed clover of viesar
Steamfont Springwater
Cauldron Prawn
Bamboo shoot
Plant shoot
Ashweed
Honey berry
Lichenclover
Maneater buds
