      I'd be surprised if either of the Guk zones are part of the new frog city. First is that VI considers them viable dungeons. Second is that the layout is very, very poor for a city that players are expected to use. If Guk does get a citiefied layout, I expect it to be more along the lines of Kerra Ridge, than to see it turned into the next Neriak. Third is that since new zones are expected with the expansion, I'm guessing that the new Frogloks will be based out of an entirely new zone. Finally, Innothule would require a major overhaul, as the only real opposition in the area is Frogloks. Can't expect newbie frogs to go killing their own, can you?
      My guess is that Frogloks and mushroom men will remain the sole intelligent newbie fodder in Innothule. The new Frogloks will get an entirely new zone for their city, and their lowbie fodder will be members of the Broken Skull Rock troll clan.

        There are Frogloks on Kunark too. It’s equally possible that they’ll share the Innothule Swamp as it is the Swamp of No Hope. If they start in Kunark, there are no worries about how they’ll fit in to an already “crowded” zone. On the other hand, The Swamp of No Hope is VERY large for he use it has…

        For those gathering materials in preparation for Froglok quests and tradeskills, what type of resource is basically untapped in the SoNH? Might be a good idea to gather some stuff from there too.

          Hate to burst your bubble but the ideal bank bag has now become the trader satchel. You just fill your bag with 10 slot, can hold anything bags. Who cares if they weigh ungodly amounts. They are in your bank. And, readily purchaseable for a couple plat each.
          I think most folks have caught on to the trader pouch routine - sure, you can't transfer them between characters, but at a mear 1plat and change each, it won't be that hard getting a few plat to a mule safely to expand it's inventory.

            The froglock town in Swamp of No Hope would be an ideal starting city. Of course they might just create an entirely new city with the expansion zones.

                  So would putting them in Innothule, where their back-story says they're supposed to be.

                  I imagine a connection just off of the front of Upper Guk... This would lead to the new Froggy Newbie zone and the new Froggy City just beyond that. I'd also like to see a connection from the new Froggy City to a deeper section of Upper Guk.

                    The frogs won't start in SoNH

                    Not everyone has Kunark (yes, I realize MOST do) - and Kunark isn't listed as a requirement for LotY - So it'll definitely connect to zones in the older areas of Norrath (faydwer, antonica, odus)

                      Frogloks of GUK

                      Taken from the first line:

                      "The Frogloks of Guk are a good-aligned race that devoutly follows Mithaniel Marr, the god of Valor. "

                      To me, this implies that Guk is probably going to become a city. I'm guessing that either:

                      A) Upper and Lower Guk will have some unification event where the good Frogloks ultimately win and they rebuild the city of Guk, cleansing it of the evil Frogloks (like the necromancer ones I've seen) and creatures.

                      B) Upper Guk gets cleansed and rebuilt by the good Frokloks while Lower Guk (the Ruins of Old Guk) become the home of all the evil Frogloks with their undead creations. This would be the funnest in my book, lots of quest potential.

                      C) Upper and Lower Guks remain as they are now and instead, there's a "New Guk" built by the good Frogloks, kinda like how the Iksars start in Cabilis (New Sebilis to them) and Old Sebilis remains in Trakanon's hands.

                        The background story also mentions that the Frogloks have become fallen or corrupted (can't remember the phrasing), which suggests to me that the Frogloks of Guk will remain as they are. VI has, in the past, taken dungeons and turned them into small towns. Kerra Ridge is an example of this. But Kerra Ridge was a poorly designed 'dungeon'. The only place anyone dared to camp was the entrance, and even that was rarely used.
                        Guk, on the other hand, is still used. Upper Guk isn't exactly the new Black Burrow or Crushbone, but there are usually a few people in the zone for one reason or another. And when Lower Guk isn't occupied by a single 60+ group pulling the whole zone for live frog faction (for the wood elf crown), its a popular enough spot - either for groups, or paladins who like to solo undead. Then there's also the fact that with the overhaul of Cazic-Thule, the only low level dungeon close to Grobb and Ogguk is Upper Guk, and VI likes to have at least one low level dungeon close to each starting city.
