Yes, and the same with Ambleshift's Display Panel ... they are very high skill tinkering combines, and without any Tinkering Mastery AA available in the game, these containers are not going to be cheap nor a skillup route.

If the person has 300 tinkering and a 5% mod, they have 95% capped success rate on the 351 trivial items, unless there is a success cap on the combine. It is too painful for a skill-up route, but should not be too bad on successes for highly skilled tinkerers.

275 (288) skill is about 75% success and 250 (262) skill is about 50% success.

A search on the main site turned up this link:
          http://www.eqtraders.com/items/show_item.php?item=20825

Hopefully you'll find the answer from there.
I tried combining Celestial Solvent, a Raw Rough Hide, Rough Hide Solution and a Skinning Knife. But the result was such an oxymoron, it opened a rift into another universe. I fell through into one of Nodyin's spreadsheets and was slain by a misplaced decimal.

Same NPC that stocks HQ ore. Bazaar is easiest to find. If you don't see any on him do the ore restock quest.
Remember you need to refine the new ore in order to make the block/bricks of steel.

                Hand made mold
Anyone have any success locating this? It's not on Lucy or the EQTraders Dbase.

Currently the hand made mold recipe is bugged in that it uses the wrong book.

You need to take 2 small blocks of clay and flask of water with Poxysmit's Precipitous Parts in a pottery wheel, then combine the result in a kiln with a HQ firing sheet. You then have the hand formed mold.

None of this stuff is lore or no drop, even the book.

                    .
And the recipe will be fixed to use Scrindites book on the next item patch. (I.E. The data change has been made... now it jsut needs to be put there... and that needs a restart.... so it waits until the next patch.)

Yay Ngreth! You're my new favorite dev =)

Is it also possible to confirm these books are indeed for the new augs? Considering the trivial on the final combines for this stuff is tinkering 351, I'd hate to aquire all this only to find out it has nothing to do with them and/or I cannot use them (as a wood elf).

Ok, I'm a poor gnome... am I reading this right?

To clarify, this is based entirely on information from this site. The database had thrown me off because it showed hammers and files being consumed.

Cost to make (assuming no failures):
20.625pp - Small Piece of High Quality Steel
41.25pp - Small Brick of High Quality Steel
103.5pp - Large Brick Of High Quality Steel
315.0pp - Block of High Quality Steel

20.63pp - High Quality Steel Hinge
20.63pp - High Quality Steel Latch
315.0pp - Small High Quality Steel Plate
630.0pp - High Quality Steel Plate
945.0pp - Large High Quality Steel Plate

                        315.0pp - Poxysmit's Gearbox Top
                        1260.0pp - Poxysmit's Gearbox Casing
                        4471.9pp - Poxysmit's Amalgamator Cover
                        1260.0pp - Poxysmit's Amalgamator Frame

                        270.0pp - Infused Gears
                        2115.0pp - Poxysmit's Gearbox (not counting drops)
                        1590.0pp - Scrindite's Gearbox (not counting drops)

I still have to say this about Poxysmit: He has expensive taste in his smithing.

you only "need" the Scrindite books (both) to be actually included in the combines themselves.

The others only have info in them... which I guess will eventually be posted somewhere...
