Is it known where the Chronal Stone drops yet?

It's looking like it drops from raid instances.

Thanks, do you remember which raid instances this dropped in and how difficult they were? I've heard the bazu stone drops off the Lich King raid so I'm assuming the raids the chronal drops in are a bit easier.

I'm going to be rather annoyed if all the stones for the new augs only drop from raid encounters.

Discordant stones are dropping from a very hard single group mission I think.

Discordant Stone drops from the Korlach raid. However to call this encounter a raid is an overstatement since you obviously don't need 54 to beat him. I'm not quite willing to believe people killed him with one group but that should give you an idea of how hard it is.

You can only kill him with one group. I've done it with one group.

                Chronal Stones

Does anyone know where to get the Korlach raid, and how difficult is it for a single group (require time, qvic, anguish gear, or what?)

It seems odd to me that the only stones (Bazu) that have dropped in raids, have been in anguish+ level raids (The first progression raids of DoDH). What of the chronal/discordant stones, which should come from encounters much less difficult? It's hard to believe no one has seen one yet. Anguish(and those far along in GoD) are never going to use these lesser stones, as they already have better.

There seems to be a 1 group version of Korlach and the raid version of Korlach (at least it was happy to let us take 54 people there). The raid version of Korlach also drops no loot besides 1 Discordant Stone and as I understand there are some 1 group prereqs along the way.

The one we killed with one group hit for 4400 or something like that .. and only dropped a discordant stone.. Where do you get the raid mission. Cause we did all the single group ones first, then others that raid.

Who gives the series of quests that lead up to the Korlach mission/raid? Is it the squid guy in Ilisain?

A robot gnome in stoneroot named Widdlethorp gives a line of missions that culminates in a fight vs Korlach, Leviathan of the Deep. We did this a few weeks ago with 6 fully anguish geared people and it was very difficult... it took literally over 2 hours of fighting the same mob, and all we got was a discordant stone. Nothing in the text Widdlethorp gave indicated that this was supposed to be a raid, though it sure felt like it couldnt have been meant for a single group. This version of Korlach was hitting in the 2.5k range. Oh, we also got a 5 day lockout after beating it, so maybe it was a raid dunno!

The one I did involves putting the Korlach to sleep and I remember the mission had the (Raid) qualifier at the end. It certainly allowed us to take 54 people for it even though it's hardly necessary to have that many.

Doesn't the single group version say that you should do the mission without aggroing him, or was this a different one ?

Well I remember there was a mission where if you aggro the Korlach you lose and that one you can take a raid to too.

The one I did you've to put the Korlach to sleep and you've to get him down to 20% before he goes to sleep for good.
