Seals of Darkhollow

The seals are combined with the same-named stones (raid drops, apparently), mechanoinstructions (that give effects), and Epicthick's Lubricating Goo to make the final augs.

As for the molds, they are used by tinkerers to make the seals. The seals can be made with Smithing, Tailoring, OR Tinkering.

Apparently you can turn the Geode in to Belfast as well. Not thinking I turned it in to him and not my quest giver, and it still gave me the Seals of Darkhollow.

Wish you'd posted that a day ago, I just did it again and got another book in my home town (I'd converted the first one into seal patterns already, it makes into 1 stack of 200) I'll have to get the task again to verify this. It would be very weird if true. I'll make this book into patterns and get the geode quest again. I'd say someone should try saying 'underground' to belfast and see what happens.

My gnome cleric was able to turn in the darkhollow geode to Bellfast, after having been assigned it in Ak'anon.

It may be worth noting that for both my gnome and wood elf, the final step of the "Darkhollow Geode" task was something like "Return the geode to" (sic). That's it; it just cut off. Might be a coding limitation - if you notice, you actually get a new task for the final handin of the newbie armors, based on your race. I wonder if I could turn em in to other city guys, too...

This is a Bug. it will be fixed at some point soonish. Unfortunately it may mean that people who Loot it but have not turned it in, will have to regain the task and re-loot, there is not really much I can do about that.

So... if you get the loot... as soon as posible turn it in.

If you have the task, but have not looted, just watch the patch message for a note about the task being changed, then just remove it and go get the new task.

(Due to the nature of the bug, it is very likely a new task will have to be made)

The bug is detailed in posts 18 and 21, and followed up in 22. It's supposed to be the way it is now (hence my previous post), minus the ability to turn it in to Belfast (that's the bug).

The bug is you can currently get the task in your hometown, but can turn it in to belfast after looting it.

I imagine with the new task system its easier to create new tasks than debug an old one, so they will just delete the old one and whip up another. They probably have a nifty little tool for these since there are thousands.

If you hunt at all in the new zones you know how common the geodes are so though it may cause a little aggravation its not really a big deal. I usually see a geode drop every hour or two of xp'ing in just about any zone.

The Bug is this. You are suposed to only turn in the Geode to the person that gave you the task.

Curently you can turn it in to other people (Like Bellfast... who did not give the quest) and complete the task.

Has anyone figured out what we do with the seals once made? I looted my Geode last night, turned it into my quest giver and received the book. I understand the book is used to make the seal patterns and i combine those with the receipe stated above to make the seal. I have 3 bricks of chronal steel that i will combine to make the Chronal Seals. Now what?

Now you need the base aug, conbine box, lubricant and tablet (I think, unless this was replaced by the seal) to do your combines.

I looted a Bazu Stone from a raid last night. I'm going to have to start picking up the various pieces and see what the final outcome is.

Now, if only I had some Type 12 armor :P
