In Beta, many vendors are seen in PoK, selling tradeskill stuff so that folks can test recipes, that Othmir will probably wander back to CS when launch day arrives.

On launch day that Othmir will more likely be set upon by a pack of druids for his Fur!!

They're back now. I'm thinking my biggest problem at this point might be that I'm using the wrong containers - do a lot of the combines not take place in a deluxe toolkit? If they do, then I must just be using the wrong pieces...

deluxe toolkit..brew barrel...sewing kit...forge...research combines in the holepoker ya make..pottery wheel...kiln... think those are the only containers ya use for recipes in those books. =)
