Data collection thread. 300 tailors since reduction in Velious trivials

Pls post if you have hit 300 tailoring (or have gotten close) since the reduction in Velious trivials. Pls post starting skill over this time frame.

I was about 272 or 273 skill when the solstice robe and velious leather trivials were lowered. I finally hit 300 tailoring on July 4.

Being a wood elf, things went pretty well to 290. Master's Brambleborn Sleeves only used 1 Shissar Scale per attempt and farming or buying in bazaar kept them coming in at a reasonable rate. With bazaar prices going up, supplies getting scarce and needing 3 scales per bp/legs, DoN armor became a less viable choice after 290. I used a combination of those and velious silks/fur (especially velium mastodon fur cloaks) but just 297-300 took me 6 weeks.

was 264 when nerf hit.

Also a wood elf, used mostly a mixture of othmir and shissar scale cultural. Did a few velium mast cloaks and velium hound caps. Did GM augs for my last 2 checks just wanted to get done at that point.

Dinged 7-18-05 was my last for 2100.

I have been spending upto 8 hours a day killing othmir, since it is cheaper to make then holgresh. I average a bit under a stack an hour.

Am at 281 right now. Lost track of how many combines but its all range, sometimes I get one in 3 combines, others in 45-46. Farm for two days, combine on 3rd.

Slowly but surely.

Was 250 or 251 when Trivials were lowered, hit 300 last Friday.

Tailoring was rough, but it was also the last skill I chose to do. Finished Smithing after the nerf, then started hard on tailoring.

560 shissar scales used so far (560 combines) to go from 255 to 268 tailoring so far

occasionally done the odd meldstone combine for guildies as well and about 10 feran/murkglider robes/leggings/tunics
