Somebody should roll a frog and try to tinker.

Ah the silk DoN gnome cultural appears to still be Gnome only, though Frogs can be necromancers now too.

Petition for coarse spider silk and the GM book quest items to drop in creator missions or in non-instances, or that instances require no more than 1 person :P If I ever get my last few drops (try talking people out of doing creator) I'll see about making them and selling them, assuming the market makes it worth my time. At 50k/GM aug/item in the two decent slots I'm not sure it pays off.

Seriously though, the chest and legs are the only slots worth combining to really wear at lvl 70, and even then the stats with the gm augs are kinda low for the cost and time it takes to get/make them imho...

Well, half elves have never been able to do other classes cultural even though they are on a bunch of them as useable. I think the reason they added froglok was because they have no old-school cultural and it's an easier fix than putting in a bunch of new recipes.

Just so we're clear: frogloks can use the cultural armor (old or new) but cannot make it. It doesn't give them any additional skillup paths, just something additional they can equip.

Personally, I'm still convinced adding FRG to the gnome stuff was one of several mistakes made by the developers during the rush to move the froggies out of Grobb/Gukta.

Having checked some ingame linked, Frogloks can use Gnome DoN Cultral Plate, but not chain or silk. An error methinks.

So I was curious and made a frog, hopped my way over to the bank in RM, got my toolkit, gnomish spirits and water flask to make firewater. Put them in the toolkit, hit combine........ nothing happened. So it appears that while this error allows them to wear gnome DoN plate armor, they can't tinker anything.

Not that I honestly think it's remotely likely Frogs can tinker all of a sudden, but gnomes have to be level 16 to tinker, remember. So either get that frog to 16 or check your GM if you want to know for sure.

Actually Gnomes begin at Tinkering skill 50 and can tinker at level 1. They just have to be level 16 go skill up past 50.

I actually believe that this is intentional. Look at the rest of the Froggy's plate armor, Protectorate armor... useable by WAR, CLR, PAL. Notice something missing? That's right, Frogs can now be SK's, but they can't use the froglok cultural. The only other small race that can be SK's? Gnomes.

While it's not exactly the most elegant solution, I can definetely see the RP aspects of SKs not wearing "Protectorate" armor... SK's aren't quite protectors.

This situation has been fixed (both the wearing Gnome Cultural and the missing classes on Frog Cultural).

So this issue can now be closed.
