    All I could find in the patch message relevent to tradeskillers appears to be the following:

    '- All potions that were recently introduced now have a required level instead of a recommended level.'

    No mention of the salvage bug fix mentioned by Tanker, and he seemed pretty sure it would go in next patch, so I'm going to guess its more a case of an incomplete patch message, than lack of a fix, but can someone test when the servers get back up?

    A little sad no further 'increased chance of skill-up' recipies implemented. Unless some have snuck in, and are not mentioned in the patch message, then it looks like we are going to have to wait for new recipies in the next expansion to see more of these implemented.

    New enhanced skill recipes would have been nice, but I'm just glad no new trivial nerfs went live (it appears). 600 sickles so far this week and would really like the privilege of doing another several hundred to finish off smithing before being forced into the new and improved paths:-p

      600 sickles in a week! Wow. How many skill-ups? (So that's 5,400 celestial essences you got through. Did you make your own, or just make a bazaar vendor VERY happy?)

        Dunno about him, but when I did sickles I went the bazaar vendor route.

        Nothing on fletching at all in the patch message.

        I would give my eye-teeth for a recipe like sickles for us non wood elf non karana fletchers to use. Maybe they can name it Alternate Fletching for the sad and left out classes who have to work a thousand times harder to get half the same result.

          is till don't see what the major complaints about fletching are. there are enough recipes to raise the skill, primarily the class 7 arrows. two of the subcombines make ten of the items so for every one fin you get you can make another 10 arrow attemtps. doesn't sound bad to me and the items are buyable so farm baz or hunt your own

            The existance of a recipe does not make it a viable skillup path. Component rarity (more specifically, the lack thereof) plays a much larger factor.

            Is it possible for someone not a wood elf or karana follower to hit 300 fletching? Sure, on EP bows, or the GM trophy. Is it likely? No, for the parts to the EP bows (or the class 7 arrows mentioned earlier) are nowhere near common enough, and the GM trophy is simply too expensive for all but the most successful baz traders.

              Girplan feather arrows only yield 1 combine each, not 10 as stated above. See recipie below for only post 300 recipie:-

              And if you think they represent a viable skill-up path, try buying them in the bazaar. I have bought probably 90% of feathers that have appeared in my server bazaar, paying anything up to 5kp each for them. After 6 months collection, I had a grand total of about 80 combines worth.

              80 combines in 6 months!! Thats not viable in anyone's book.

              As for other routes, specifically elemental bows and tradeskill trophies, they represent the most costly tradeskill route imaginable. I have done about 700 combines to get to 299 fletching. On average each combine has cost me about 5kp. How can you possibly describe trying to skill-up at 5kp per combine as being viable.

                I went from 232 to 276 this week. I didn't track actual combines, but i started w/ a total of 2000 dusts and 2000 tempers. With BSM3 and Salvage3 I'm guessing it worked out to roughly 600 actual sickle combines, maybe a few more.

                Almost all CE's were purchased in bazaar. I made my own imbue bot and a necro friend that is also working smithing twitches during our imbue sessions and we split the emeralds when done.

                  Here is what I do for imbueing:

                  I have my own bot for emeralds. I get a C, then I find a beast to meet me outside the guild hall. I get a shot of perfection (AA super mana regen that lasts for 4 ticks) and then zone into the hall, and sit in the pool. Perfection never drops in the hall - including when you log out and back. That is some serious mana regen.

                    One side note. Has anyone noticed that after the patch, the success rate on the DoN symbols has gone down? Before the patch, I made 7 of 8 after it's 1 of 6. I know it's a small sample but I was wondering if there was a trend we can see with everyone else. Thanks.

                      One side note. Has anyone noticed that after the patch, the success rate on the DoN symbols has gone down? Before the patch, I made 7 of 8 after it's 1 of 6. I know it's a small sample but I was wondering if there was a trend we can see with everyone else. Thanks.
                      Your swing between successes and failures is not outside expected behavior from random distribution (Note: I did not say RNG). Prior to this release, I went 2 of 10 on symbols followed by 14 of 18 with two scales returned from salvage (meaning I made 14 symbols from 16 scales).

                      Since the release, I'm pretty sure I've gone 4 of 4 on symbols and a friend of mine (using tailoring) made me 6 of 9 scales. Everything appears to be working normally to me.

                      Big swings in success and failures are to be expected. Learn to live with them or they will eat you up.

                        This sounds good, but my imbue alt is only L30, will perfection stick on a L30 toon?
