  • GoD raw tradeskill ingredient combines

When converting raw materials, does the quality matter? For example if you can do 1 tea leaves -> 3, does that mean you get 1->3 for mountain tea leaves too or does each quality have its own efficiency rating?

Also, how many combines does it take to get 2 back guaranteed? And how many until you can get 3 of them? I have been combining random GoD stuff for a while and doesn't appear to be even close to do 1->2 every time let alone 3.

Each tradeskill uses its own refining counter, regardless of the level of material you use. So Taelosian Tea and Taelosian Mountain Tea both count against brewing's efficiency rating, Muramite and Aged Muramite Scales count against tailoring, etc.

Not sure on number of combines, though.

I save all my refined materials (don't ask, I don't know) and found that I started doing 2 all the time at around one full bag of material converted (finished product, that is). I start doing 3 at around 5 full bags of material. Now, the more you do the more reliable you get, so the faster you accumulate stuff. But it's still much faster to 2 than it is to 3.

        Per this thread:

        Conversions 1 to 80 return "1" or "1+1"
        Conversions 81 to 130 always return "2"
        Conversions 131 to 380 return "2" or "2+1"
        Conversions 381+ always return "3".

I did the baking freebie yesterday, the collect version, handing in Taelosian Wheat Flour for combines. And there was this strange thing that I handed in 30 of first recipe and had to do more before I got 2nd recipe.
            Yes, I triple-checked that I didn't fail and indeed got 30 messages from hand-ins.

After next 10 I got the next set of ingredients.
Then 30 of second recipe was all that was needed for that step. Next hand-in gave me stuff for third recipe. I failed there once and got a new batch to do and after that got stuff for 4th recipe.

30 hand-ins later when I tried to give more wheat, I got the "ok, you've done eneough" message.

            So it was like this:
1st recipe 31-40 successes handed in
            2nd recipe 30
            3rd recipe 30-39
            4th recipe 30

The guide on this site tells exactly 30 for each step.. which could be slightly incorrect. You might need 40 for first step. I don't have eneough wheat to re-do this with another toon to verify, nor is it really important. Just pointing out what I found.

            Also, so far my first 5 conversions gave me 1, 1+1, 1+1, 1, 1
