Taelosian Mountain Tea Leaves are Dropped, not Foraged?

From what I've heard and a bit of research, these are not foraged. The other components used in flavoring the tea are foraged, but the leaves themselves are dropped.

My own experience only applies to Taelosian Tea Leaves, not the more rare Taelosian Mountain Tea Leaves. I hunted for a bit in Natimbi. I foraged moldy tea leaves, used in black teas. I foraged handfuls of twigs and leaves, used in green teas. I looted Taelosian Tea Leaves from several different critters.

I have quite a collection of tea leaves, both the regular and mountain varieties. I have "foraged" most of these from vendors. At one time, every visit to a Magus in Natimbi or Abysmal Sea would yield some of these, some Raw Dark Matter, some Nihilite, Taelosian Stone and Aligned Ore. I even found the rare forms in some quantity, Taelosian Mountain Tea Leaves, Raw Infused Dark Matter, Shimmering Nihilite, Discord Stone and Shimmering Ore.

I searched for Taelosian Mountain Tea Leaves on Allakhazam's. It lists Taelosian Mountain Tea Leaves as a drop from a ravenous cragbeast in Yxtta - Pulpit of Exiles. I don't know where that is. I have heard that the rare form of each component drops only in the high-level zones of GoD.

I don't currently do anything with the teas because my brewing isn't at that level. (My wife's is capped at 200 for now.)

I tried combining Celestial Solvent, a Raw Rough Hide, Rough Hide Solution and a Skinning Knife. But the result was such an oxymoron, it opened a rift into another universe. I fell through into one of Nodyin's spreadsheets and was slain by a misplaced decimal.

As far as I know, Taelosian Mountain Tea leaves are a random drop from mobs in the later GoD zones. I know they drop in Kod'taz and higher. They may also drop in Tipt & Vxed, but I'm not 100% sure.

Only Kod'Taz and up from what I can tell. We usually used to get a stack or so from trash mobs when we raided zones like Uqua and Txevu, although now that we are in Tacvi there's not much in the way of tradeskill drops since there's only a few mobs there (one trash mob per boss).

The best zone for tradeskill drops is probably Yxtta since animal mobs there can be kited and don't summon. As long as you can find a safe spot heh.

Taelosian Tea Leaves are foragible in any GoD zone I believe. I have most definitly foraged them in KT and qvic though I beleive other zones too but it has been a while.

They are however, a very rare forage. The mountain variety are indeed drop only and only KT or higher.

Taelosian mountain leaves are selling for 500pp-1kpp on Povar am i missing something?? The normnal Taelosian leaves go for about 5-50pp each (i been buying all i see in baz, and I think someone else is too Hmpphh). Anyways is there some quest related to the mountain version that would eplain this nonsense price (prices vs final product).

Mountain Tea Leaves are expensive because it's rare and it's for tradeskill. No real other explanation behind it.

Taelosian tea and taelosian mountain tea is the best raw hp drink in the game, bar none. The difference is in the amount of +hp and the duration of the drink.

Taelosian tea has +5 hp and is a drink. The mint, twigs, and other "flavors" you can add will add other stats (stamina for example) but it will not add raw hp nor will it extend drink duration.

Taelosian mountain tea is +10 hp and is a refreshing drink. Again, the mint, twigs, and other flavors will add to other stats but that's it.

Conversions can get as many as 3 tea bags from 1 tea leaf. Each tea bag can make 5 teas. In your example, Buns, that's 15 teas for 500p-1k (33p-66p for each drink). These individual teas move on my server as high as 200p each.

Taelosian tea is extremely common, too much so for demand to ever outstrip supply (least in my experience). The mountain tea though will always have a good market.

Correction: The two teas aren't merely the best +hp drink in the game...they're the ONLY +hp drink currently in the game.

The Mountain variety is used to make an iced tea with +25 mana, the highest in the game by far. We have been seeing them dropped occasionally in Qvic and Txevu. I regularly forage the regulart Taelosian Tea Leaves in the upper GOD zones.
