    Behave.

Scuz me. Did not intend to start anything.

It didn't take me long to get all my GoD runes, just xped a lot in KodTaz back when it first came out and I had my runes in a few weeks. Of course my guild at the time always had a group farming named at some time during the day, and I got a couple of mine by people in the guild saying "such and such rune rotting at X spot". Got my bot her GoD spells as well, but that took longer since she wasn't even flagged until earlier this year for the higher GoD zones. Managed to snag her spells on raids as most mains have their spells now.

Right now I just need the ancient runes for both my chars from GoD, and haven't had much luck with OOW spells for my bot, since even this far after OOW has come out most of our mains don't even have all their glowings. I'd be more interested in an alternate way to get OOW spells since you have to have a pretty decent group to handle any named that drops glowing and greaters with any regularity.

So Bards as a class of INT casters will get left out since we can't research.. therefore bards won't be able to get the ancients this way either..

And with the NO TRADE tag in place, WIS-casters would be left out in the cold too since we can't research them either...

The NO TRADE tag on Ancient Spells is consistent with other raid rewards. I'm still opposed to the notion of allowing raid-level weapons to be crafted by players. For casters, Ancient spells are raid weapons. If you want raid drops, you do raids.

I think we have a good sample of the community opinion on this. Some are in favor of making Ancient Spells into tradeskill results. Some are very much opposed. If Sony reads this forum, they'll get the message. It's very mixed.

Sony has thier own internal view about Ancient spells, based on the original purpose. In the eyes of the dev team, these spells are exactly parallel to raid weapon drops. It would take a unified consensus to over-come that stance. That's not what's happening here.

Do we have a consensus that the NON-ancient spells should be researchable? I think so.
I tried combining Celestial Solvent, a Raw Rough Hide, Rough Hide Solution and a Skinning Knife. But the result was such an oxymoron, it opened a rift into another universe. I fell through into one of Nodyin's spreadsheets and was slain by a misplaced decimal.
