  • Corpse summon device ?

Is there such a thing as a corpse summon device?

If so, what is it's name, and what trade skill makes it?

    Thanks !!

There is also the guild lobby. You don't need to be in a guild to use it, but you do have to own DoN.

HMMMM could you elaborate on this please? I have never heard of such a command: is this something new from DoN or what? Can anyone use it? I sure hope so, cause one of my alts is stuck in a very bad place and is sure to die when I get back on lol.

            Answering Veteran Rewards Questions

Sounds like you haven't logged in for a while. Welcome back! Two answers:

            1. First and foremost, you don't have to log in and let your alt die.

You now have the option of hitting "Return Home" instead of "Enter World". I highly recommend you use that, unless you're KOS in your home town. This feature was added after DoN.

It teleports the character IMMEDIATELY to your guild master in your starting city, even before loading you into the world. This is similar to one of the DoN AA's, but safe because you never enter the zone to die. The "Go Home" button shows up on the character screen if that character has been logged off for at least 6 hours.

I think this was invented to save the GM's a lot of time. With the "Go Home" button, people can easilly recover when they exit in the middle of a dangerous place. This makes life simpler for server crashes, dropped connections or real life issues. When raiding in nasty places like Fear, you don't have to worry about you (or your computer) crashing.

            2. You need to BE a veteran to access veteran rewards.

The veteran reward named "Expedient Recovery" requires 4+ years of paid subscription. If you've got it, that's cool. Once a week, you can summon and revive ALL your corpses, with 100% experience recovered, without losing your current buffs. (At my raid last night, a rogue died 4 times and told everyone NOT to rezz him. At the end, he rezzed all his corpses at once.)

Yes, Sony is rewarding those who have paid them a lot of money. The definition of "veteran" is based on the number of months of EverQuest you've actually paid for. If you've kept your account paid up since the beginning of time, you'll see more rewards than someone who has been inactive a lot, or someone who only started recently. (Guides get credit for time spent in the guide program even though they weren't actually paying. Other free offers do NOT count, including the free first month which a lot of folks got.)

You get one reward for each full year of EQ you've paid for. One of your characters gets to claim a full set of rewards for each year you've paid for.

As an example, I've been playing for over 5 years, but my account expired for a few months, so I only got 4 rewards. I executed the /veteranReward command on four of my characters. Now each of those characters has access to four rewards. 4 complete years = 4 characters with 4 rewards each.

My cleric was one of the first characters I made, but I transfered her to a separate account about a year after I started, so 3 of the characters on that account have access to 3 rewards. The fact that she is older than the account doesn't matter. She still only has 3 rewards.

(Those numbers are actually all wrong. I've prepaid for another year on each account, so you can bump them all up by 1. Yes, that's a total of 9 characters with rewards. I could in theory trigger the jester reward on each of my characters once a day. That would be over 2 hours of annoying halfling humor every 24 hours. Unfortunately, since I'm not paying a monthly fee now, I won't get more rewards until I'm forced to pay more subscription fees, sometime in 2006.)

The official post on this has caused more confusion than anything. Here it is:

I tried combining Celestial Solvent, a Raw Rough Hide, Rough Hide Solution and a Skinning Knife. But the result was such an oxymoron, it opened a rift into another universe. I fell through into one of Nodyin's spreadsheets and was slain by a misplaced decimal.

For the Return Home feature, you need to be logged out for some duration of time. I think it's six hours, but don't quote me on that. This feature is not an easy means of gating out when you're ready to leave some dungeon and do something else.

Thanks for the info on all that! LOL yes, it has been 10 months of pure H-E-double hockey sticks, but I'm finally waiting the arrival of my new computer which will be here in about three weeks. I feel like I've lost out on alot, and can't wait to get back into the swing of things. Sounds like DoN will be especially kewl!!
